  1. Hi all, I am new to this forum but have looked at the various forums on the Defender's perennial indicator problems and I cannot seem to find an exact match. My Defender 90 dates from 1987 but she has been upgraded and modified and has a 300TDI engine, transmission, etc. I have a recently developed a problem with the passenger side indicators. (this followed a respray during which I assume the rear light fittings were removed). The drivers side indicators are working fine. The front and rear indicators on the passenger side are not working but the small side indicator is working on the passenger side. If it is relevant the indicator interior light is clicking at double speed when I try the passenger indicators compared to the drivers side. Hazards are working on driver side but not passenger side. The vehicle also has a tow bar fitted. I have started with the basic check and replace of bulbs and fuses. I have seen suggestions relating to changing the relay, towbar connection, improperly earthed, worn wiring in chassis, etc, but I would be really grateful if anyone has experienced the same circumstances and could give me some guidance as to the most likely cause and how to fix it. The bit that confuses me most is that the side indicator works, so maybe it is connections rather than relay? Many thanks for any help.
