  1. Hello, I've got an 1991 perentie, with a bit of brake light dramas. My brake lights turn on immeadiately with the ignition. I have located and troubleshooted my brake light switch. Here is where the mystery begins. I have three sets of wires able to connect to the brake light switch. A green and purple single wire, two solid green wires, and two green and orange wires. I am also colorblind, so take that with a grain of salt 🤣. On my brake switch, I have one solid green connection and one white and green connection. With the wires disconnected from the switch the brake lights are off. Without the green and purple wire, ie just green and orange and solid connected, the lights are off. With the green and purple connected, the lights stay on with either the solid green and green and orange wires connected. The brake lights stay on no matter how far in or out the brake light switch is screwed. When I remove the switch and have the green and purple and the green and orange or the solid green attached, when I depress the plunger the brake lights go off, and when I let the plunger pop back up they come back on. So theoretically the pedal SHOULD do something, as the switch still does something when depressed by hand. But, the pedal does not do anything. The tail lights work independently off the brake lights, all else works, the brake lights are not on and will not come on when the car is off even when hand pressing the switch. There is no flickering. I am lost as to what the problem is. To me, the brake light switch still works, but the pedal has no effect on it. I recently went to a dodgy mechanic, and back in July replaced every single brake component on the entire car. Any ideas? Cheers, Mike
