thanks again guys, after nearly 1000 miles with the new map, engine seems more responsive as judged by the lead foot on the right side pedal (he,he).
curious of the strong exhaust fumes, I plugged my autologic and looked at exhaust output, left oxygen sensor is switching normally staying as close zero as possible and reacting to demand. right side not so great, at idle it stays at zero with out switching. out of Idle, it maxes out at +22 mv and stays there until it returns to idle. I had a set of new oxygen sensors which I installed, performed Ecu reset by disconnecting battery for 1/2 a day and symptoms continued nearly identical upon re-start.
I have checked for false air / vacuum leaks, exhaust leaks, misfires and all seems ok, I learned my valley pan end seals are leaking oil, so it is planned to be addressed as weather permits,
I have not checked for fuel injector leaks or other injector performance issues, have not checked spark plug performance or condition, it is also in the plans of near future.
Once I am in the valley I plan to install a new camshaft with lifters / tappets and possible new injectors, I have set for a Bosh engine which seem to fit 14Cux / Gems.
opinions and suggestions on sensor performance discrepancy please.
thanks,
Carlos.
