Evening all, come to replace my bearing for the top pin of my swivel joint. I’ve noticed that it had a thinner edge on one side and unfortunately only noticed this on the new one not the retired one when I took it out, does anyone know which way it goes? Front or back many thanks!

Can anyone please shine a light on where this leak is coming from? Transfer box location

Thanks Paul. After laying under it for an age I’ve found a green and brown being snipped and tucked back into the chassis from the loom, I’ve tried to connect it with a new piece of wiring to one of the wires on th reverse switch but No prevail as yet. I should of said it’s a 200tdi 1992

Thanks so I’ve tried to Chase the wires from the light it goes green/brown down the loom, down the drivers side chassis side but then pops out under the bonnet to connected yellow then to green/red 🤦🏽‍♀️ may have to see if I can loop it on the existing fog light on the other side that works?

I investigated why my reverse light wasn't working, thinking it might be a missing switch but it seems I'm missing a whole chunk of wiring?? there's nothing running to the back, I cannot source which wire I need to connect the two if anyone knows? Much appreciated

apologies for the delayed message but just a thanks to @miketomcat visiting and having a look. We managed to get the stripped bolt out and replaced and 2 month later (touch wood!) we haven't stripped another belt since. 🙂

Thanks, it’s a britpart water pump that was fitted literally other week, it was snagging belts before that was changed so can’t see that being the issue?

that’s confusing then as the water pump is brand new, literally last week as it had a bit of a wobble so thought it might have been that. We’ve managed to get the stripped bolt out and secure a new one on the bottom bracket. Possibly the pulley? That’s the ONLY thing left we haven’t changed which brings me to my next challenge of the one that fits my alternator has apparently been discontinued and need to find an alternative….RTC5686. I can drive to wales and no problems then go on a journey no more than 2 miles down the road and it goes! 😔😔😔 damsel in max distress! 😂 also is it worth mentioning that I think the fan has been snagging on the shroud so possibly not spinning at all/to it’s full potential? Could this cause it to overheat?!

Sorry completely new to this all, here are the pictures of the belt stripped as it went this morning and the bolt from the back etc, I’m wondering weather somethings melting it looking at the top pulley on the water pump??

someone please help! I have fitted a new alternator and it is shredding belts like no ones business, we have changed the water pump, made sure tensions right... all we can think is it the back bolt on the alternator has stripped its thread and cannot take out or tighten for love or money, would this cause this problem?
