  1. Hi I am a first time poster. I had the idea of fitting a 4.6 GEMs from a P38 into a 1990 Range Rover Classic - the vehicle currently has a 3.9 engine, (manual box). It was bought in Spain and i brought it over to the UK a couple of years ago. Its left hand drive. I have been making inquiries with specialist engine builders to have 4.6 re-built - trying to get them motivated to firm up some prices is like wading through treacle, by the way.. The idea was to run it pretty much as it ran in the P38 obviously with a stand alone ecu, or mega squirt - coil packs etc. One specialist advised the other day that such an installation wont fit because its a left hand drive RR - the engine will clout the steering box. Can anyone enlighten me please. Many thanks in anticipation.
