  1. Thanks guys for all the info. If anyone can share a link where to get a Rave set V019 UK I'd be much appreciated Pat
  2. My mistake then... I'm not looking for NAS but the latest English (GB) and Spanish versions... I thought the V019 was the last English (GB) Rave version...
  3. I already did; they have old versions... thanks anyway Pat
  4. Hello, I'm trying to download the Rave CDs version V019 or newer English and Spanish (if available) Can somebody helpe me on getting this? The Rave version is easily read under the "What's New" Rave's main menu. Thanks a lot Pat
  5. BTW I'd like to get the Heritage Motor Centre "Land Rover Defender 90, 110 & 130 1990 to 1998" if anyone knows where to download it please it let me know. thanks
  6. PaulMc I also prefer Unicat/EPC to Microcat but for new vehicles there's not Unicat/EPC option I have it running on Vista w/o problems, English instructions on the same link I've posted before. The script you've been using changes the computer's date before launching MC and puts it back, it does not solve the Price option, with similar programs I've got e-mail problems; I’ve been “losing” e-mails for receiving them with an altered, far away in the past, date… big deal… About Hexalock, I never tried by myself but I consider it’s solved (You have to read the whole thing): http://club.cdfreaks.com/f80/hexalock-204559/
  7. No, it wasn't. I'm responsible for the files attached on "my" thread. I cannot be responsible for a link on rapidshare, megaupload, etc. sites where I do not even have an account. There are many places where the expiring date is stored; 2 DSET.DAT files the mclang.03.dll, mclang.04.dll, mclang.05.dll files and the *.dat files contained at the Pricing directory. Actually MC cannot be easily set for not expiring, what MCLifeX does is to set the program for expiring on 06-05-2020. About Visual Basic 3 I couldn’t believe it; a 16 bit application running on Vista and implementing their own “database engine” too crazy.
  8. Hosting and traffic mean money and considering there are people that download compulsively things that really do not need, it results that the registration requirement is a good strategy for getting rid of them and save some money… You said your Microcat does not suffer the date issue; well If you do not need the tool why where you trying to download it? The regular Microcat has several places where the date is checked out, The Program, The Database, The Pricing info. Every release is meant to work for 3 month after that you are in trouble. If you turn back the clock before to start MC everything will be fine but the Pricing info. If you want to solve the thing you need something like the program I’ve mentioned when I started the thread. About steeling e-mail addresses, time ago I also published here another tool for freeing Rave and many people from this forum got it without a single complain about getting spam or anything like that… this time your conspiracy theory scenario was wrong despite how old you are in this business.
  9. Don’t you think your comment is unnecessarily unfriendly? If downloading the 7kb file is such a pain for you just ignore my message... have a nice day.
  10. Getting rid of Microcat date issue... MCLifeX results handy to extend Microcat’s database and program expiration date. It does not replace the dongle nor its software replacement (altered mg16.dll) either. It does not implement the typical "auto date adjust/launcher" approach but it really modifies MC expiration date; user instructions contained in the attached rar file. http://www.landrovertec.com/showthread.php?p=382 comments welcome.

I guess Tuko's and Silvio's version will be readable after the process here you can see a March 2004 Rover & MG Rave that was unreadable... http://img140.imageshack.us/img140/1230/rave2004bx8.jpg now it's free... an interesting thing is that after the process every file shows its creation date http://img204.imageshack.us/img204/6726/ravedatedm6.jpg NOTE: the article link has changed to http://www.landrovertec.com/showthread.php?t=90 patpat

David is right, the process is CPU demanding, just think of decrypting roughly 600 Megs.... When the process is finished the exe files and the Acrobat4 directory are not needed any longer; they can be erased. Now the web site has an English translation of the article and a video showing how Rave is used after the conversion... This post was good for knowing I have very old versions, can I say that the 19 is the last version? is that set available somewhere ? thanks patpat
  13. the file here, changes the RAVE PDF files in order to open them on regular Acrobat readers hXXp://www.landrovertec.com/showthread.php?t=74
  14. Well, I wonder if official LR dealers are having "non GENUINE sources" for their "GENUINE" stuff ! I'm not talking about price here... I consider this is the real GENUINE pump; I've took a picture yesterday in a local official LR Dealer... As you guys can see we can not have two completelly different pumps BOTH LR GENUINES without a Technical Bulletin explaining the change...
  15. About buying from eBay, I know the rules, I also know that involves certain risks that you can mitigate based on seller's reputation. When you are almost 7.000 miles away from London (like me now) buying from eBay makes things somehow easier... My point here was the eBay seller has good reputation... this seller bought from a "well known LR dealer" The seller is trying somehow to solve the thing, but I've got completely Mildly miffed when I received e-mails from the LR dealer saying that the pump I've received is GENUINE... that's was just too much... they even sent this pic This incident brought to my attention other issue; LR dealers might be selling non genuine stuff as genuine? to me that's a serious thing.... If I decide to go cheap that's MY option, but if I want and paid for Genuine and the official LR dealer gives me NON GENUINE for GENUINE that's against the law....... I'll give these guys some time to solve this problem. I'll let you guys know how this thing evolves... Pat PS: White90, probably I was a bit rude saying you missed the point, sorry it wasn't my intention.
  16. good question, well the auction said LR GENUINE 300TDI PUMP including this pic the price was fair, what you would've done? No way, why should I ??, if I've bought LR GENUINE I want "to try" LR GENUINE... you are missing the point; My question was "is this pump GENUINE??" . I haven't asked "Hey guys how long is this OEM (or pattern) pump gonna last??" even when you're right I think you're missing the point again... I'm not talking about LR quality on itself; I'm just comparing LR Quality with OEM..
  17. I do not agree with you, almost every manufacture process "naturally" produces more than one quality, there's always at least two bins labeled "good ones" & "not so good ones" Off course I know that not every GENUINE pump is personally inspected by LR's CEO and there are statistical factors involved but finally there's a Quality Control process; you think that this process is the same for an OEM or Genuine part, I believe they have different quality control processes; tougher for the GENUINE part....
  18. Well I do not think that OEM is the "same" as LR Genuine. let say the XXX manufacturer supplies LR and Britparts... I think LR Quality Controls are going to be tougher than Britparts QC... then the quality of LR GENUINE and OEM cannot be the same... Also tougher QC means rejected parts.. What do you think XXX does with the LR QC rejected parts???? Well I do not think XXX always destroy the whole rejected batch.... What you say is that when you buy a GENUINE LR part the LR main agent (T.H.White) contact the XXX manufacturer and this one sends the part directly to Bearmach (following your example) and Bearmach gives you the part on the fancy LR Box., well if this is the case let me be naive and believe that LR performs their acceptance QC on XXX premises... I think when we pay more money for GENUINE LR stuff we are not just paying for a fancy box with a cool label... We pay for more quality... OEM Q is always poorer than LR GENUINE Q on the fancy box... Pat
  19. Yes... I think so, but the problem is that the pump was bought on eBay to a well known LR reseller who says was provided for an LR Representative that even sent several e-mails to me swearing that the part is GENUINE when it's obvious that the pump is OEM !!! well what I've bought was a 300TDI water pump I think LR should know the difference... Let see how this story goes, I'm fighting for my GENUINE PUMP, they are no going to get ahead with this so easily.... Pat
  20. this is terrible, it seems even the LR Representatives (the ones that should sell no more that LR GENUINE parts) are also selling OEM as GENUINE!! If we're asking and paying for LR GENUINE that means we want LR "getting involved" in the part quality control process.. that's why we're willing to pay more, but some "middleman" is taking that as extra profit and we do not get what we paid for !!!... shouldn't they be reported to LR to police to who??? I hate when they steal money this way!! about the part number, the PEB500090 it is a Genuine LR part # the genuine pump with that number is pictured here http://img230.imageshack.us/img230/8546/lr5oz2.jpg http://img172.imageshack.us/img172/3955/lr11pt5.jpg http://img98.imageshack.us/img98/8498/lr6eh4.jpg but this pump is far away from the one they sent to me even on a box with a LR sticker !!!!!! just compare the pics Pat
  21. well I do not think it's the case, it seems to me somebody is cheating here, look at these pictures I've just got, same new part number but the rotor is still being the classic stainless steel rotor ! http://img230.imageshack.us/img230/8546/lr5oz2.jpg http://img172.imageshack.us/img172/3955/lr11pt5.jpg http://img98.imageshack.us/img98/8498/lr6eh4.jpg what's going on here? are they selling OEM pumps as genuine stuff?? LR never sold anythyng with a gasket.. or in a plastic bag, did they?? is there any technicall bulletin saying anything about a 300TDI water pump change??? are you completely sure what you've installed is genuine???
  22. 300tdi LR Genuine Water Pump Hi guys, I've bought a 300TDI Genuine Water Pump PEB500090 but what I've got it seems to me is not genuine, what do you guys think? Does anybody have pictures of a GENUINE PEB500090 ?
  23. 300tdi LR Genuine Water Pump Hi guys, I've bought a 300TDI Genuine Water Pump PEB500090 but what I've got it seems to me is not genuine, what do you guys think? Does anybody have pictures of a GENUINE PEB500090 ?
