Hey guys
Walked in here yesterday after I signed up to buy an old Defender 90, as I know nothing about the vehicle.
Bought it on an impulse, really - the vehicle was up for sale and I took one look at her and decided that I want to buy! First drive was a revelation, with the hard clutch, keyhole on the wrong side and a handbrake lever that was almost inside my trouserleg!
I'll be candid - the first drive wasnt anywhere near what I expected, but this thing felt indesctructible. I've done my share of off-roading in various other vehicles, this is going to be an interesting experience for me.
I'm sure I will be visiting this forum with lots of questions once I start using the old lady - the very fact that I had to search around for the keyhole tells me that there are a lot more of these things. Its almost like belonging to some kind of secret society.
For the record, the truck is a 2001 Defender 90 3.9 EFI. It has no rear seats - I suppose this is what I will be looking for first and foremost.
Cheers and see you guys around
