  1. We are pleased to announce that we will be holding a pay and play day/weekend in aid of our joint fund raising for the Macmillan fund. It will be held on a site near RAF Digby, near Lincoln – nearest postcode is LN4 3LH – It’s about 200yards past the RAF main entrance, and is on the right. This site is suitable for all vehicles, including shinys as there is something for everybody. The Jeep i went in even needed both difflocks when having a little run around – though he blamed the BFG mud tyres he had on. Though lots of areas are suitable for shinys, with little climbs & descents – there are more taxing tracks, and trees – for people that are not that concerned about the shinyness of their motors. Camping will be available and is on a flat, sheltered area of the site. There will be a campfire. Caravans are welcome – as can be seen in the photos the owner does take one down when he is using the site – but not sure what the maximum length of van can be brought in through the gate. There will be a porta-loo on site, but there is no electric or running water. It’s a relatively clean site, being a disused limestone quarry, all waste is to be removed from site. The cost per vehicle is: £20 for the day. £30 for the weekend, including camping/caravan. There will be a punch hunt– and also some other car games. Here are a few photos, there is also a wooded section, but we did not walk back to that to photograph it.
  2. hello people i looking at doing a suspension lift on the disco but would like to know what are the advantages and disadvantages of using blocks instead of springs? Also: What size blocks can i use (safely)? How much difference will a lift make to the onroad/towing? what lift can i go to before i have to change the prop? I have a 1990 disco 200tdi with no anti-roll bars.
