  1. so will this be worse with the 255/85R16 which is a taller tire than the 285/75R16?
  2. Hi Henrik - thanks for the info and picture - have you had your suspension on full articulation with those tires on? did it rub at all?
  3. I want to fit Cooper Discoverer ST 255/85R16 on my 110 XS and seem to be getting different views on whether they will fit - i do not have any lift and the suspension is standard. Has anyone got these tyres and do they fit without rubbing on the standard setup?
  4. When i rev the engine nothing happens - no noise/chatter - just the sound of wheels spinning in the air...
  5. I had diff lock engaged, in low ratio. When i slowly got to the tipping point, with opposing front and rear wheels in the air, it stopped moving forwards. i revved the engine so the two wheels started to spin more and more but the brakes don't seem to kick in to force the drive to two wheels that were in contact with the ground. Am planning to replace the tires but not sure whether to go for 235 or 265....probably BFG AT or Cooper ST
  6. Hi there I have a 2004 110 TD5 XS and took it on its first muddy outing only to discover that the Traction Control does not work, even when i rev the engine when I lost traction on an axle twister. I took it to my local specialist and they have checked everything including running diagnostic tools but cannot find what the fault is. ABS works fine. Can anyone help me?
  7. thanks for all the advice. i have challenge on the tire front - i have signed up to go on a tour in sept to Tunisia and the Sahara desert so will need tires that are good in sand, but I also want to use it in mud in the uk...it currently has the original General Grabber tires that look very road biased - how do i achieve this without ending up with three separate sets of tires Also (sorry for sounding stupid) I assume that the strap and shackles mentioned by muddy are for the front - what do i attach the shackles too in the car?
  8. thanks for all the advice - much appreciated - will get some recovery kit first i think...
  9. Hi I am new to this world, having just bought my first Land Rover (2004 110 XS SW) and am looking for some advice on vehicle preparation. I am planning to go to some pay and play sites around the Oxfordshire area (any suggestions?) and i wondered what basic things i would need to do to my completely standard Defender before hand. Any help gratefully received. Bod
