Hi My first proper post and asking for advice already. Can anyone tell me if the Disco 300tdi engine is the same as the Defender 300tdi. I did a 200tdi conversion on my defender a while back and I remember the engines being slightly different, turbo location and exhaust, mainly. Does the 300tdi from a disco drop straight into a def 300tdi? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Hopefully I'll be able to offer some advice to others in the future, when I know the answer that is. cheers Scout

Hi My name is Damean and I just wanted to introduce myself. I have a Defender 90 with hardtop and soft top for the summer, the ultimate convertible. Used to be a 2.5 TD but put a Disco 200tdi in after I cooked the old engine. Hi everyone, I hope I can be a proactive member of the forum. cheers

Seems a lot, i bought a def 90 1986 for £1850 and then bought a 200tdi disco and converted it myself. What he asking seems a little steep.
