  1. yeah i don't hammer it when it when she is cold but little things like towing when you first set off she pulls away much better. when I've done a long run say on the motorway and come off at a junction when i pull away again i can hear the fan spinning is that the viscous fan you mentioned.
  2. i have a TD5 90 01 plate 85k that seems to lack power when the engine has warmed up. when its cold you feel a real pick up in power when you use the fun pedal and it pulls well up hills but when its up to temperature it doesn't have that get up and go about it any ideas would be great
  3. i ve just had the same problems EGR where sticking causing complete loss of power lots of thick black smoke having replace the parts its a new motor
  4. cheers for that mate i have 265/75/16s on steel 8 spokes and does it mater what year the disco is
  5. hi everyone just got some spot lights for the a bar on my td5 90 looking for any top tips for wiring them up as i'm not the biggest fan of messing about with electrics. and while i'm here i do a lot of motoway miles in the landy thinking off changing the gearing just wondered the best way of doing it cheers ben
  6. i everyone Td5 51 plate 67000 on the clock and the turbo boost as dropped off. Not really getting any boost unless i give the old girl everything she's got in every gear and you only feel a bit of boost. Has the turbo come to the end of its life or is there more of a problem. Any help would be great before my wallet has to tell me the problem. Thanks ben
  7. does it make a difference which way up the springs are put in. I have got them with the tighter few coils at the top. As i'm writing this i'm thinking it could be a bit of a bone question as they must compress the same which ever way up their are.
  8. i have put standard hight uprated britpart springs and bilstien shocks front and rear on my td5 90 and the front end is ride high. wondered if this is right as i have been looking at other rovers with suspension mods and they don't seem as high. hope someone knows something. p.s i'm 99% sure i have put the correct springs on the end of the rover
  9. i'm a farrier and i shoe out of my td5 90 and would like to know if anyone knows how to or someone that could turn the back door in to a lift up door to make it easier for me to work out of my rover.
