  1. Thank you so much everyone! I will return the springs and buy real genuine ones! Do you know any company selling original LR spings? The company have now change their webpage so its even more confusing and expensive: Brand New (Genuine): £51.74 inc VAT (what I orderd tree weeks ago and recived Britpart) Brand New (OEM): £32.19 inc VAT (when I orderd tree weeks ago called Replacements) But if anyone can recomend a retailer that sells genuine parts I would be most satisfied!
  2. When I emaild the selling company and asked them about Genuine/replacement they replay the following: Hello Fredrik These are Genuine springs that we sourced through a special offer in conjunction with Britpart. If you are unhappy with them please return them to us. Best regards, Kelly. Have Britpart made a higher quality spring just for LRSeries? They are colured with original colour code e.g. grey/brown for ANR4491 Should I return them or what do you think?
  3. Hi! I have orderd Genuine springs from LRSeries for my Discovery! When I opend the box they sent me, the springs were from Britpart! Can these be Genuine springs? I paid around £40 each. The same company also sells something called Replacement springs for £27 each. Can anyone tell me the difference between Genuine and Replacement in this certain case? It doesn´t feel right to pay £40 for a spring from Britpart? The part numbers are: front NTC8477 and rear ANR4491 Regards: Fredrik Sweden
  4. Hi! I orderd OEM H/D springs to the rear and OEM winch springs to the front. I also orderd Monroe shocks all round ! So now i wait for the mailman to find Sweden . Sometimes it takes three weeks . Thank you very much for all your help! Regards: Fredrik
  5. Thank you fellows! So DiscoJo you have the same thoughts about the springs. Do tou mean ANR4491 Rear Coil Spring - Heavy Duty Police Spec? or are there other H/D springs? What springs will you fit in the front? Regarding the shocks a will go for a bit tougher than the standard oil shocks. They are cheap and you can carry extra so the idea is good, but I still want a better shock off road. Never heard of Ironman here in Sweden, but worth considering! I will google it for more information. Thank you so far... More suggestions or ideas?
  6. Hi! Im planning an overland trip to Syria/Jordania and maybe a bit more south this summer Im looking for new springs and shocks to my Discovery 300 Tdi. I havent got loads of cash so I cant aford OME even if I really would like them. If I buy them I never leave the contry. I prefer to buy a genuine Land Rover spring so I can more easily replace it. Regarding the shocks I prefer a gas shock instead of originals. Have anyone tips or ideas on combinations? Thank you in advance! Fredrik Jonsson (Sweden)
  7. http://members.shaw.ca/jbarge/springinfo.html Now I hope the link work! Sorry! Yes, you are right the springs are red/white but according to the list above its only rated 170 Lbs/inch. Bearmach has the following springs avaible. How are they i quality? Do they last longer than a little while? BA 2102 Rear 90/Disco/RR 40mm 295 Lbs I8mm 445mm BA 2103 Rear 90/RR/Dis/Dis2 20mm 240 Lbs 17mm 413mm BA 2104 Front RR/Dis/Dis2 30mm 195 Lbs 16mm 394mm BA 2105 Rear Disco 0mm 194 Lbs 16mm 438mm BA 2106 Front RR/Disco 0mm 196 Lbs 16mm 368mm Im thinking of maybe fitting BA 2103 on rear and BA 2106 in front. But it will lift/raise the back with 20mm and the front stays original height. Is that a problem?
  8. Hi! I wonder if any one have fitted the Defender 90 H/D (NRC9463 and NRC9462) springs on a Discovery I? I want to increase my Discoverys (300Tdi -98) load carrying capacity without any lift. I have read that the standard rear springs are progressive (according to http://members.shaw.ca/jbarge/springinfo.html) and so are even the Defender 90 H/D springs. Should I go for the Defender springs or have someone a better alternative?
