What, the banana incident? Many years ago my friend and I did a similar thing with a potato up his mum's Morris Minor exhaust. A few seconds after it started the potato shot out and hit their metal garage door, which gave his mum a huge shock.

Cheers for that cos thats what its getting.Hoping to fit the suspension on friday.I read somewhere on here that you should space the
anti roll bar to chassis mountings by the same amount as the lift,is this true as i've not seen that mentioned before.
Gary
just rip the anti roll bar off. it only restricts the movement in the axle

yes mate i agree with what your saying but really there should not be any thing on the bonet, just trying to save you a ticket!
you know what the plod can be like
-
and dont forget to take those waffle board brackets off the bonnet when driving on the road, mr plod wont like them cos if you hit a person you will take there head off!
-
has any done /seen/heard of this?
-
i think all the cages mentioned are a bl**dy poor effort, they could do more damage than good
-
let us know how you get on

i dont think the vauxhall recovery point are a good idea, why not just use jates rings

Does anyone have experience of what the replacement swivels that paddock's sell are like, im guessing as with most of the parts that paddock sell they could be britpart so im a little unsure i would buy oem from elsewhere but i need them quick and im ordering other bits from paddocks anyway, appreciate anyone's opinions here please, cheers guys
ive just bought some, still in there boxes and not fitted as havent had time but they seem fine to me with no marks or bleishes, with a nice teflone coating, i wouldnt have any worries about buying them and they are the cheapest!

What is the benefit of fitting a disco 2 prop then? if you dont mind me asking
ive done this and it just stop the vibrations!!

Now that's a bloody useful bit of info! This thread gives a perfect starting point and has restored my confidence in getting the thing fixed.
I have towed a big caravan with this motor for thousands of miles and although not the most powerful truck it has always coped well enough.
This recent fault makes it undriveable under load as the violent and rapid up/down/up/down changes every second or two
will break transmission mounts or similar if allowed to continue,it really is that violent.
I will try the kickdown cable adjustments and clean up the cable connections into the box,and see how we go.
It's a start anyway.
Many thanks. (it will be weekend before i get to try this,DAMN....but will keep you informed, all other ideas welcome)
