  1. I have a 1L8 Freelander, and I want to install this kit PRRT.

But I do not understand why on the link, the guy modifies the PRRT kit Land Rover Before installing ...

Is this really on a Freelander he installs ?? I do not understand enough English to understand his tuto ... Thanks. JF

  2. the attached file shows & says the kit is for a 1.8 petrol engine Freelander,

I'm not sure why you feel the engine needs this kit.

    Because I have a Freelander 1L8 ...

But I am not sure which vehicle the man equiped into the attached file, and if it's a Freelander, why he modify his PRRT kit ...

Because he take a origin PRRT Kit for a Freelander, BUT he explain how to modify it.... <_<

My question is to understand if i have to modify my PRRT kit to put on my Free 1L8.

I do not understand English well enough to understand exactly what he says.

    Thanks. JF

  3. Hello.

    Still a question.

I want to install the PRRT kit on my Freelander . I bought the kit Land Rover as seen on this subject:

    http://www.unicyclist.com/gallery2/main.ph...2_itemId=559552

But I do not understand why the gentleman who is the subject autor changed his kit?

Is this the mounting for a Freelander?

Can someone tell me how my mechanic must install my kit correctly ?

Thank you for your help. JF

Sorry for my English, using a traducer.

  4. Hello.

My second question regarding my Freelander, petrol 1L8, 2000, 107,000 km.

For some time, I have a tremor of concern in the engine.

This problem exists only when I let go the accelerator, or when I'm off the accelerator.

    If j'accélère, no problem.

The engine starts well, the idle is stable.

Only by traveling to accelerate when I stop I feel that these small tremors in the engine.

My garagist gave me different ideas:

    - throttle position sensor

    - Stepper-motor

    The plugs are new.

The catalyst is dead. I will change next week, with the lambda probe.

But the problem existed before the catalytic problem.

Do you have any ideas? Thank you. JF

  5. Hello.

I just introduce myself in the proper forum.

I am French, North Brittany and I Possee a Freelander 1L8, 2000, 107,000 kilometers. Sorry, but i use a internet translator....

I come see you because I can not find the answer on the French forums.

My first question concerns the temperature sensors.

On the 1L8, there are two sensors in the high output engine.

A brown one and blue sensor (single wire) below.

On the French forums, nobody knows exactly how they work.

A probe is used to trigger the fans, another to indicate the temperature at the gauge panel.

But do you have any knowledge about their respective roles? Thank you. JF
