  1. Im looking into building a internal cage around the front seats in 'bogey' but just wondering how/what is the best way to bend it using a proper pipe bender?

Just had a play with a waste piece and anything over approx 45 Deg the tube seems to collapse!!!!

Any ideas on how to stop this happening? Or just general tips anything much appreciated.

  2. Hi mate yeah it aint going well am also out fixing my fiance's car too......

But had a quick look over the rangie and no water in oil and started straight up with no probs...... thats confusing.....

No i sold that last week just waiting for cleared funds...

  3. Well think after suspisions the head gasket was on its way out ( vanishing water) it is now finally clear....

Went and started bogey the other afternoon after just being left over-night and after a fair few turns as the battery didnt seem to great it started with a lot of squilling and then a huge bang and ran fine....

Turned out the Mount for the fan/Water pump belt tensioner had sheared off..............

drove to work yesterday and very low on power and the engine was knocking under load ( once warmed up slightly).. and still steam coming out the bonnet but it was not overheating, temp was just over half...

Any way after work didnt want to turn over very quickly at all ( possibly lack of compression due to head gasket??) anyway got aslmost home pulled up at some lights and it died......

Wouldn't start at all and just puffs of dark smoke coming out the exhaust while turning over......

Gonna have a look at it in some light in a min...

  4. I recently purchased a midland 38 CB radio and all worked apart from others couldn't hear me...

So i put it down to a dead mic so purchased a new one and still nothing.

I can hear others fine and others can hear a blip when i activate the mic but cant hear anything we say!!

    Any ideas??

  5. No its not that bad just prising the old one out after it being there for god knows how many years..

i have taken a few out with prising it against the axle with a 5ft metal bar and a very good wack with a long handled sledge. a few taps and it pops free.

installing the new one is easy as it will settle itself in after doing it up tight.

  6. Sort of the same story of when i got mine.

had been unused for well over 2 years though and when i went to look at it, it wouldn't start so i walked away but went back and offered him £175 and he was glad.. so i got a bit of a bargain there as it turned out to be a very genuine low mileage example.. and runs like a dream..

Best thing to do when you get it is give it a full service inc all filters etc and change all oils and if the mileage is genuine then you should have a very good solid runner.

  7. I looked into this a few weeks ago as i have started my own mobile mechanic business in my spare time at the mo.

And the bloke behind the parts desk brought it to my attention and that all i would need is to bring in some company headed stationary. i.e invoice or similair to activate the account.

might pop back in there and have a word with them see if thats still the case or whether he was chatting out of his rear end.
