  1. Thabks for the info allready! i found on the black box dizgnostics website some details and there is mentionned for pin 10 (middle connector abs ecu) 'throttle position sensor'. i dont have a rpm signal from the engine connected to the abs ecu. But even when the engine is not running, just live igntion and i switch gears all the lights will come on. Just noticed i have the following fault: 04-01 pump relay open circuit 004 times same problem or will this be somehing different?
  2. I'm currently fitting a V8 engine + autobox in to a 2004 Defender Td5. The original defender has ABS-ETC and I want to re use this. The only wire I dont know what to do with is the grey-purple. Cant't find any info about this wire, to what to connect this wire or.... I can activate the abs module via the nanocom and all works fine, ABS pulp works and each wheel give readings. When I start (or just the ignition on) the V8 all lights go out just the ABS stays on. As soon as I select gear all lights (abs - etc - handbrake) go on. Dont know how this is possible as the autobox has no elektronics. Who can help - urgent! Many thanks Regards Alain
  3. Hi Paul Will have a look which version this is. Which version does have the central locking option? Got a few AS10 modules from td5s, hope this works?
  4. Hello, I'm currently installing central locking in a Defender 2.2Tdci. The Defender had all the connectors factory fitted, also all fuses and looms were fitted. We just had to change the door internals and plug them in. Now it will not work :-( You can just arm the immobilizer and alarm with the plip, no central locking. I've changed the setting from the alarm (group 1 - group 2) to the settings from a Defender 2.2Tdci that had factory fitted central locking. No result at all. Any tips - tricks to get this to work? many thanks Regards Alain
  5. Ok thanks for the update! You use a V8 flywheel from a manual V8?
  6. Hello, Does anyone knows if you can fit a Range Rover 4.0V8 to a Defender 300Tdi R380 gearbox? if it is possible were can I find adaptor plates and clutches for this set-up? many thanks for the information! Regards Alain
  7. Me again with the EDIS problem. A while ago I said that it fired on all 8 plugs, it did as you felt the power. Now I wanted to change the plugs, didn't had the time to work further on it, and it fired again on only 6 plugs.... went a little grrrr.... SO tried the other (old) EDIS module and the same. Checked again the wire that goes to the coil pack and is responsible for those 2 cilinders, still fine! when I move the wire arround it still gives a signal. Then I took the papers you gave me to measure the voltage: Pin 8 - 9 - 11 is 13,45V Pin 12 isn't constant it oscillate between the 10 - 11V. So not good at all. Did the test with both EDIS modules and same result. WOuld it be possible that it is the plug that fits on the edis module that causes the problems? Maybe that caused the smell on the EDIS module and isn't the module broken after all? Thanks again! Regards Alain
  8. Bowie, not at the moment. As I just ordered 1 to test if I was correct, you never know ;-) So now I can have a look if I can find one over in Belgium if not I just have to sent an email to Nige to order 1.
  9. Bowie, I always have that kind of "luck". If you says it can't break I will break it or it get damaged. Frustrating, but after all those years you"re getting used to it. CwazyWabbit, good idea, wil do this and put the result also over here!
  10. oops explanation wasn't complete. I modified the weterproof box as I didn't had enough space where I had space to fit this. Made the cover out of an aluminium plate and there I mounted the edis module on. plate is 2mm and 15x 30cm, so think that isn't to bad?
  11. Edis module is mounted together with the ECU in a waterproof box te keep all the dust and dirt away. module is bolted with the 2 holes that are in the module. The box is mounted on the rear bulkhead and I never went that deep in the water.
  12. Ok so the problem is solved. Received another edis module, plugged it in and the spark was back on the plugs that didn't had one. Just need to change the plugs, drove almost 4 day's as a V6... the old EDIS smelled to burned elektronics, 99% of the time that isn't good ;-)
  13. Jes everything is ok for the rest. Anyone contact number from nigel? Or can sent one with DHL overnight?
  14. In what kind of car you can find this EDIS8 module
