  1. G'day guys are you still planning on producing items to buy?

Is there a set timetable (so there is something to aim for) I would love a beanie as I have never had a baseball hat fit my big head.

And a hoody would have been good (grumble grumble) but a fleece would be good i sposse do you do extra marquee size for the slim amongst us ???

And when you have it sorted how much shipping to Perth ???

    Cheers chaps.

  2. Gday there mark,

I reckon the length of the gearbox is the issue well the mounts leastways.

The gearbox on the TD5 was differently mounted to the 300tdi as the bell housing was shorter.

on the new one i would be looking at the bulkhead gearbox tunnel to see how it adds up and would it allow for the bellhousing of the 300tdi? the new dash having aircon i thought it would be a major boon what you not using that for ??

You could always ship it to me in Western Australia lol good luck mate regards Andy

Mark just re-read your post, if you are looking at dumping the old chassis you will need to adjust the mounts for the engine/gearbox/transfer case what i would do is hang onto the 300tdi gearbox tunnel on the original bulkhead -if your bulkhead has no corrosion i would waxoil the hell out of it and keep that as it would be one less adjustment...for more info i think you may want to have a yarn to the guys on the australian land rovers owners forum as many of our guys have looked at mods over a period and some of the guys may well be able to see you right mate

  3. Andrew i would be of the mind set to drop the gaer oil for fresh and see what you have after that.

We have the that aussie oil enricher over here in Australia (west) it leaves a residual film on the gears (b/goxes, transfer cases, difs) so that the gears are always primed with oil.

If you have any drama's getting the stuff the other guys have recommenede give me a hoy i'll give you the details of the stuff we have here. Regards.

  4. I have just bought a panasonic toughbook. I need to mount it so that it is easily accesable by the driver and the co driver. I will be using it to run gps and memory map when greenlaning and competing in events so it needs to be fairly robust and able to withstand the shocks and bumps of off road driving. What do you recomend?.

    Thanks Jason

Jason my mate in Canada- a truckie, suggested to me an arrangement that uses the set studs and comes up the passenger seat, i could look into it if you have any interest regards andy

  5. I can do you a set of 38mm for £50 delivered or 50mm ones for £60 delivered. They can be 5 foot long if you wish or you can cut them yourself to 4 foot (or I can do it if you prefer). PM if interested

    Mark
