  1. Seasons greeting Freelander '00 2.0 diesel - replaced clutch kit recently and just passed nct - have noticed when releasing clutch in 1st gear a ping sensation on the pedal - any ideas would be much appreciated
  2. Bit the bullet - two new front tyres tracked and aligned

Can't really pick one side from the other - speed doesn't come into it only going over bumps/thru potholes - safe to say given the age everything worn to a degree but where do you start - that's why I started with the ARBS, drop links and tie rod ends..... where to next I'm not sure - brave diyer....
  4. Have checked but everything appears solid - looking for inspiration - any pointers on tests for steering rack etc. would be much appreciated - may have to bite the bullet and go to a garage but love a challenge although this appears to have the better of me !
  5. Afternoon Folks Freelander 1 - Year 2000 Vibration on steering wheel when going over bumps / thru potholes Replaced ARBS, drop links and outer tie rod ends - still there.... Thinking of replacing both track rods next - feedback/suggestions welcome Looking at BRITPART Thanks Mick

Right guys Apologies for not getting back sooner - problem resolved - nothing to do with catch - after much searching found that the two springs for the tailgate door handle had broken off hence the freelander couldn't figure out if the door was open or closed - got replacement springs on ebay - job done working perfectly - 13 euro all in - saved buying a new tailgate handle - seller details on ebay as follows phillipstuart33 (P Senior Trading) - website dcplandroverparts.com - hope this helps - keep up the good work

  8. Cheers Tim Working with a set of Torx bits that came as part of a toolkit - not up to much based on my efforts to date - any info on the torx key required will try to pick up same on ebay Thanks Mick
  9. Cheers Checked all screws - solid - not budging - can the receiver be adjusted - has 2 very large torx screws - can't budge them at the moment - afraid of doing damage Thanks again Mick

Afternoon Folks Freelander 2.0 diesel 2000 5 door Rear tailgate not engaging the latch and not closing properly without multiple slams - can the latch be adjusted i.e. dropped as I suspect the door has dropped slightly or can the door be adjusted - any assistance would be much appreciated - seems to be one thing after the other at the minute - recently changed Arbs, drop links and track rod ends but not sure how to approach this - tried to unscrew catch but wouldn't budge... Please help Thanks in advance Mick
