On my 1990 110 there is a multi plug in the center of the dash above the fuse box any one know what it is for
Also i have an empty red relay holder what is it for as i want to repurpose it for my windscreen timer relay

not sure on td5 but earlier models it's a live to the horn stalk and power goes to the horn when pressed

i've replaced most nuts and bolts with a4 stainless so if i do ned to undo stuff in 10yrs it has a chance of coming undone
if you use socket head caps in steel then the min grade is 12.9 due to how the head is forged some are 14.9-

another couple of things to avoid are cheap crimps and hose clips
i bought a large box of assorted crimps of the bay of evil and even using good quality ratchet crimpers it was 50/50 if the wire would pull out
what i've been doing is removing the plastic then opening up where the wire goes then crimping with a flag terminal crimper and then soldering the joint and heat shrinking
on the hose clips i got a bag from screwfix and a good half tightened then clicked as the worm drive slipped these have been replaced with terry clips and jubilee clips problem solved -
i had this issue and fitting new stub shafy oil seals solvd it
i then fitted the hd flanges to the front as well which was a belt and braces approach -
the siz is bs013 or 10.5x2
i sell o ring kits and typical neither size in stock so i usd a 9x2.5 -

do the oil cooler pips have an o ring on where they go into the rad or do they seal on the flange

I'm thinking of getting one and not fitting my hydraulic set up although i think i still have a pierce wormdrive wrecking winch in the workshop

that's why you buy pitch gauges in both metric and imperial
that said i have around 5 sets and at any one time i'll only know where 1-2 sets are ,a bit like 10mm sockets -
before you buy a die get a pitch gauge which will then tell you if its std pitch fine or extra fine

that's what i have done far easier to do a track rod ball joint
i did have to make a new clamp that also incorporated the damper mount -
cheap enough to be worth a punt on and if you look for a more well known brand that looks the same you'll find they both made on th same production line

i made my own in situe as part of the roll cage mounts and frame work for the roof rack and after the chassis swap they now don't fit as well so expecting a mass produced item to fit perfect on an old landrover is a big ask
if all the brackets and mountings are slotted you have more chance of getting a good fit -

the tubella ones are far better than the one i have now
top tip with a tubella is when you lend it to someone make sure you get it back ,i lent mine out and it never came back -

If this is your only need for bent tube it's probably not worth it, but for me It's actually become a handy tool to have around the shop.
i have the same bender i think it was on offer for £70 when i got it

i wish i had bought a 3500kg flat trailer rather than the 2750kg one i have,the plant i carry is well within it's weight but when i pick logs up the extra 750kg would be handy

that looks the same pump i have in my 3.5 v8 which is low pressure

always have run 10-40 in my diesel landy along with my loader and dumper-they all leak so i buy it by the 25lt drum

we shoehorneed a lexus v8 into my old mans tvr , i nearly looked at swapping the 3.5 for one in my other 110 but the spare engine we had needd too much work so was used as a tst block for fitment
