  1. I found this http://www.abeltronics.co.uk/pdf/DIM12-DIM13-DIM14.pdf which seems pretty good as the switch (dimmer)can be mounted remotely. You can make your own and there are dozens of diagrams on the net but it will mean soldering etc. Good luck
  2. Thanks for your replies, looks like I need to get some more push fit adapters. I have got some wading plugs for the bell housing and timing covers so won't be connecting these with breathers. Thanks again Hello again, Just read another thread on breather connections. It was suggesting if you fit a wading plug to the timing cover then you should also fit a breather. This is achieved by drilling and taping for an adapter further up. The idea behind it is, if the engine is dipped into cold water the breather will prevent water being sucked in through the dust seals. Is this a good idea or a little overkill?
  3. Hi, I have just ordered some tubing to replace the broken rear axle breather. I intend to replace the tube to both axles. I understand there are some more points which can be picked up and raised to the snorkel. Can anybody let me know where the points are and what will be required to fit. Really want to make my 90 as waterproof as possible. Thanks Shane
  4. Hi, Just wanted to know if anybody has used the MUD STUFF bulkhead removal bar kit & the MUD rails for the seats. Trying to get a bit more legroom. It seems straight forwrd but is it any good??
  5. I have recently bought a 90 and I am sorting out a few problems. One of the problems is the wipers will not park when switched off. They just stop when they are switched off, its a bit of a challange trying to stop them in the park position. Can anybody let me know what the problem might be. Thanks
  6. Hi, I had the same problem. It did turn out to be the solenoid. Mine also clicked but did not winch in. As a test I connected terminal 'A' to terminal 'F1'. I then connected the positive to 'F2' and the winch drove one way. Then I connected terminal 'A' to terminal 'F2' and the positive to 'F1' the winch then drove the other way. This is basically the function of the solenoid. Obviously you need to be very careful and disconnect the battery when changing connections. Use the cables already connected to the motor/solenoid as the current is very high. Hope this is of some help. Shane
  7. Hi, I live in Parson Drove which is between Peterborough and Wisbech. There are some green lanes locally just wanted some confirmation on the green diamonds. I am also trying to find out if C.O.R.A.G is still up and running, their website is currently down. Thanks
  8. Hello, Very new to all this. I have recently purchased a Defender and want to get out and about. I have bought a OS Explorer map covering my local area. There are routes on it marked 'Byway open to all traffic' there are other routes marked with a green dashed line with green diamonds on it. Can I drive these routes. Any information would be great on what I can drive on Explorer maps. Thanks
