hi help need`d can anyone help me my defender runs up too about half way on temp gauge and i`ve got a small amount of heat from heater,when i put hands on pipes there all warm apart from the bottom hose which always seam stone cold? is this normal????.
or can anyone help with a bleeding process
sorry caps lock on laptop retimmed cambelt turn`d key and fire`d up turn off though as i cant remove sump plug too remove oil/water. rad was faulty and when i filled the new rad with anti freeze it all leaked in too oil pipes and sump soo looking hopefull and thanks too everyone for the help saved me going made as a new landrover owner
WATER GOT IN VIA FAULTY RAD,REMOVED OIL AND FOUND THAT THE CAMBELT SLIPPED SO RETIMMING TOO SEE IF ANYTHINK BENT AS IT WAS TOP PULLEY THAT WAS OUT BY 1/4 OF A TURN SO HOPE FULLY NOT TOO MUCH DAMMAGE FINGERS CROSSED
hi its the 200tdi water got into sump after a dodgie new rad was fitted which pushed water into sump engine made a funny noise before dieing i`ve been trying too get sump plug off but very tight ran sweet with only 73000 miles before problem so problie going too fit a disco lump and rebuild mine and replace it once rebuilt if cambelt slipped will valves hit pistons on these engines???
hi i`ve got a 1991 defender with a shot engine which is the 200tdi i was going too replace with the disco 200tdi will it fit straight in with all the defender turbo and down pipes??? also will the bellhouse be the same???
hi due to recent activitys i ended up with water in the sump and it ran for about 1 min the stop`d dead does turn over but not sounding healthy trying to remove crank pulley bolt but weather a bit cold and gave up wondering what sort of damage it would have done
when you turn starter over to sounds like no compression but took glow plugs out and turned over seams to be alot of comperssion i just cant work out how changing a rad can cause such a problem ran fine uptill rad change
hi can any one help i changed my rad for a britpart one i fill`d up with antifreeze and water when full i noticed oil in the water i didn`t start engine as i asumed it was the rad so i removed the top oil hose and squezed water pipes and seen water/oil coming out of it??? so i then removed new rad and replaced it with the old one and filled back up with water/antifreeze i then started engine it ran for about 60 seconds sounded rough and stopped and hasn`t started since???????help need`d
