  1. Thanks Fridgefreezer, I went through the diagnostics check list, and the most abnormal value/s were the following: the ohms reading for the throttle potentiometer supposed to be at 5000ohms mine was about 45000ohms, and the voltage reading is supposed to be between 0.29v and 5.0v depending on peddle position, mine was on a static 12v no matter where the accelerator peddle was. I guess that the TPS must be stuffed up. Just curious as to why the disco only acts up when she's at operating temp only ?? Thnx again
  2. Morning everyone, I'm new here and this will be my first post. I've tried to search and troll the archive technical department with solutions without success, now I'm hoping to get a solution from here. My 1995 disco 1 V8 3.9l (lucas 14CUX) has this quirky issue and it goes like this: When driving and foot on the accelerator she has no problem, but as soon as she begins to coast (when vehicle speed caches up to engine power), and at that exact threshold there a sudden power loss and then resumption of power (split second between the two) this continues all day, and the gearbox, I'm pretty sure, does not like these sudden jolts. No engine warning light come on during this. P.S my vehicle does not have a code fault display. The thing is, when she's cold, before normal operating temp, this problem does not happen, only when normal operating temp is reached. She doesn't run hot, according to the gauges. And on a very very hot humid day (south african) the problem is exacerbated. Can anyone help me because I've no idea where to look to diagnose this issue?????? Other than this the vehicle is a beauty, OME, ARB airlocker, body and suspension lift, 33" bridgestone duelers M/T, body trim, fabricated front bull bar and is an awesome off-road machine... Thank you :-)
