Many thanks for the comments, thinking of buying from a dealer (not main dealer) so hopefully will some sort of warranty with it. posted the same question on another forum (defender2) and nobody bothered to answer, some forums must be better than others!!!

Hello folks. I have joined this forum as i'm looking to purchase a TD5 110 county defender. How reliable are these engines and what is best to look for? What is considered to be high mileage and what should i stay away from? The budget maybe around the 10-12k mark. I have previously owned a 200tdi 90 (stolen) so how does the Td5 compare to the 200tdi. Many thanks.
