my 1999 t plate has plugs in the wing but some replacement abs sensers go all the way back to the abs ECU that is behind the box glove box
-

some one we work for has a 110 that is in that class and it does carry some restrictions as said above but they only use it for going to there woods and back but its more like 3-4kms (leagal or no i dont no) and i also does not need an mot last month they asked me to have a look at it because there was brake fluid leaking out of one of the calipers and what had happend was the pads had worn down month/years ago this wore out the disk making one of the pistons pop out in doing the job i found that 2 of the track rods had load of play in them and the radius arm bushes were that worn the axle moved 1" when undoing the wheel nuts and they said that the reguley check it over

and if a injector seal has gone the compresion of the engine can just push the diesel back and i think there is a cut off but i think it just cuts power to the fuel pump the reset is on the n/s bulkhead you can make the pump run longer (purge) but turning the ignition on and pressing the accelerator 5 times (engine light should flash) but failing this i think you need to test the fuel pressure as said could be a good idea to have a look at the injector loom under the rocker cover to see if its been damaged buy the overheating !!good luck!!

i would say that ulsd would be ok for the tdis because it has bosch pumps fitted if it had a lucas cav pump fitted then that coud reduce the pumpe life a bit i use it in my td5 with no worrys/problems
-
it think it would be worth trying to find a leak lift the suspension up and and get plenty of soapy warter around the bottom of the air bags and leave it for 10-20 min before having a last look but it could be very difficuld to find a leak of that size

how many disco 2s do you no with difflock not many i no well other than mine (((will agree to disagree on this one)))
-
i to dont see the big problem yes it will make the center diff work hard but no more than getting stuck in mud when i had my last mot done just as he was putting the guage thin in the pass foot well i said you can stick it on the rolling road for me he would not do it

It is a 200 series, but the two pedals are about level.
I'll see if pumping it makes any difference, but i do suspect that knowing my luck it will be the master cylinder at fault.
Cheers
it does sound like air but master cylinder can give this problem as they are cheep i would change it any way
-
Why would you want to do that?!
because the 200 dash is carp
-
i am sure the 200 bell housing is longer than a 300 r380 but i have no idea what the differances are betwean the 200 and td5 only the td5 is longer than the 300 but the shafts could be the same because the td5 bolts direct onto the engine block where as the tdis have a small bit of bellhousng on the engine

3500kg gross rember not the actual weight at the time 3050kg (is the gross) for a 110 defender and a trailer with a gross of 750kg not an empty 3500kg (i use to think that as long as you were under 3500kg then you were ok but you are not) this realy means that you can only realy tow them little trailers like what halfords sell i am one of those who realy needs to take the test as i do push my luck some times been saying that for

If the poles had flags on them, you could mistake it for a Golf Course, never mind an off road course.
Yes, we're sticking with Billing.
geoff
the golf course is about 200 yards to the right (and im not kidding)
-
im off to newark, well i cant say im off to newark i live there so im goin to the newark one
that makes two of us then but a cant help thinking its going to be a bit of a flop with billing on the same day but will be showing my support and hope it will be better next year

every year some one looks around your land rover and tells you the things that need replacing that are worn out to make your car safer for you and other people around you whats wrong with that?? if your cars fails then there is some thing that needs reparing if we had no mot then things would just not get repared
the only bad thing about it is it now cost £45 not so good
-

the td5 transfer box is a better box than fitted to the tdis if you dont have to change it try and keep it there is also no switch for the hi\lo so that could give problems with hill decent control and the ecu
to fit the tdi diff lock linkage you will need the main gear box gear stick housing(must be off a 300 tdi discovery every thing else can be off a 200 or 300 defender of discovery ) , the hi\lo difflock gear stick housing, the 2 linkage rods, the thread with the 10mm hole in it that the difflock rod pivots on, the hi\lo selector housing that bolts on top of the transfer box (td5 one can be modified), and the rubber gromet thing that rivits ont the gear box tunnel with the sound insolating pad (off a 200 or 300 discovery)
i got a r380 gear box with a bug*gerd transfer box off ebay for £100 (wanted the gearbox to convert for my 90)

still use an old bowl but stand a 3/8" extension bar up to the drain plug for the oil to run down
