Unfortunately taking the floor out would have still resulted in some access issues due to the awkward location of the repairs. So, I decided to take the plunge and take the tub out - here's the result : It wasn't as difficult as I thought it was going to be. A few seized-up bolts provided most of the trouble. Although the chassis is in pretty poor repair, its going to be a lot easier to fix now!

Good advice guys. Les, I think you may be referring to the van type body, wheras mine is the pickup - but thanks anyway. I'll let you know how I get on wellzie

Is it possible to remove the pickup body tub to gain access? If so, is it a massive job? I've seen some good responses to other questions on the forum, so I'm looking forward to some good advice
