  1. Hi everyone I'm having a problem with my immobilizer/ alarm fob, the battery connection has snapped off and Ive tried to solder it several times, i'm at the point where I need a new fob. Ive been told that to re-code the alarm they need to plug in to a jack on my landrover which people seem to think is in between the front seats, but it isnt. Does anyone know where else the plug in point may be located before I have to rip the dashboard off looking for the main box. The landrover was registered 11/10/1993 and is a 300tdi. I would normally not bother with the immobilizer but it resets itself a few minutes after turning ignition off making it embarassing at fuel stations, if anyone can help with any suggestions I would be very very grateful, thanks tony.
  2. Hi thanks a lot for your quick replies looks like its here I go again then.
  3. Ive recently purchased a terrafirma 2" medium duty lift kit, which im fitting at the moment, ive got to the last passenger front wheel, lifted the spring out of the box and to my horror noticed written on the bottom flat coil of the spring in felt pen D SIDE. Why? please say it doesnt stand for drivers side, and it will make no difference if they are around the wrong way. None of the other springs were marked I dont think so
  4. thank's I'll start looking if anyone else knows where the info is or how to bypass the relay I'd be grateful I was hoping to drive tonight

  7. just been test driving landy. Gear box fine never seen a gear split like that before, trans box works a treat it was easier to swap the complete speedo with output shaft (hand brake housing thing) only 6 bolts couldnt get speedo gear out big big thank's all you made it alot easier "2" lift kit now
  8. sorry me again. I'm in the middle of changing my transfer box from a 1.410 ratio to a 1.222 ratio from a disco. do i need to change speedo housing on the rear of the box? or will the speedo work without chnaging?
  9. Hi just an update on my problem with 5th gear, just stripped the gear box and found that 5th gear cog was actually splitting in two, Ive managed to swap it the part numbers were perfect. Just 1 question I have an LT77 box off an L reg disco and was wondering is there any gear ratio advantage in swapping the transfer box while Ive got it off, I dont do a lot of off roading but I do do alot of motorway driving, any comments would be appreciated, I will try and upload photos of the splitting cog, wondered if anyone has heard of this happening, thanks tony.
