  1. Hello, New here and to the land rover ownership (since buying her in September shes had Billet fly wheel, Shocks, Intercooler, Clutch slave.... no one told me it was this much fun !) I have looked in the acrhive to see if there are any comments about a parafin smell and I could not find anything. So here is my problem. This morning whilst scraping the wind screen I notced that the amount of blue smoke was more than normal and to be honnest a slight concern, but more of a mental thought was the overwhelming 'parafin' smell. My Td5 has done around 55K and I have noticed oil from the turbo (recient change of intercooler as the oil one was 'holed' ) I drove her to work at speeds ranging from 50-70 (in an attempt to clean the smell away) but when I arrived (25 mins later) the blue smoke had gone but the smell of parafin although less was still able to be noticed. My thoughts would have been incomplete combustion but since they are not SI but CI engines it would be difficult to see how this could be. Ideas? Thanks
