  1. Nothing has come up as yet.White smoke (unburnt fuel?) still coming from exhaust for about 10 seconds, then it clears and everything seems fine. Has no-one out there had this problem.?
  2. Hello everybody. I have posted a Freelander question but not much help as yet. I used to be a warranty guy with Land Rover until I retired.

  3. Thank you for that.I was aware of the unburnt fuel but can't see how any contamination to injectors occurred. I will get them checked out. Any other idea's anyone.
  4. Hi.I have just P/X'd my Freelander TD$ GS with 70,000 miles, very good condition and was allowed £3,300.00 against a 2004 TD4 HSE with 43,000 miles on the clock if that helps you
  5. To anyone who has any idea's about my problem,I would be grateful for their input.I have a Freelander TD4 04 model with facelift. I have just replaced fuel pump and filter under rear seat because the pump was very noisey and did not shut off at all before starting the engine.I also had some black smoke on start up. This disappeared after adding some cleaner to the fuel. Now on start up I get some whiteish smoke and the engine almost seems to be only firing on 3 cylinders for between 5 and 10 seconds, everything then clears and I have to say the Freelander really goes well. This is my second Freelander and I did not experience anything like this with the other one. It shows no fault codes and at the moment is just a severe irritation as everyone keeps saying,"That doesn't sound quite right does it."
