Ha ha, definatley not the response i expected!!! But thinking back to my old landy im remembering more of the maintenance, servicing and parts bills than before. 'rose tinted glasses' spring to mind i think!!! It could be a better idea to hold off for a while and wait while ive got nearer 6k and go for somthing in better nic! Hi Guys, Im a newbie on here, so please excuse me if i repeate anything previously covered. I sold my series 3A 2.25 petrol Lanyy a couple of years ago. Ive recentally got into shooting so could do with another 4x4. My dad has an old Toyota Hilux 2x4, which he is considering selling to fund our new 4x4. He will be using it as a work vehicle, towing a trailer etc... ill be doing light off roading, over fields of stubble and such. Now the hard bit, we dont really want to spend too much, around the couple of grand mark. We would like somthing not too hard on fuel, no V8's... So can any of you more experienced guys offer any advise. I have been looking at a couple of Discos, 300TDI. Any other suggestions, or advise on what to look out for or avoid? Cheers in advance, Tim.
