The gearbox is a Rover reconditioned unit (Factory rebuild Unit), So could be from any year!!
However as its "Rover" I would have said it was up to 1970, as after that it would have been labeled "British Leyland"

Hello,
Im in the process of Modifying the Fuel system. Currently the V8 in in a 2a, but it uses hoses with Jubilee clips on the high pressure hoes which scares the hell out of me!!
Can someone please tell me the part number for the flexy hose that connects the fuel line with the fuel rail?
Thanks

Is it Diesel or Petrol?

Rob,
So would you advise against buying the bearmach kit??
I ask as I'm running mine in permanent 4wd at the moment and I've been toying with buying the part time kit. Frankly mine doesnt kick back through the steering too badly (only really when on full lock) so I'm not entirely sure its worth bothering with.

Saving fuel has to be the biggest advantage.

Makes me wonder if I have early 90/110 hubs!
Will dig out the old series 2 that rob sold me and see if they fit!!
-
Tried to fit a new one to the back of my 2a today (11 inch brakes) but the new ones are way bigger than the one I took out!
IIs there something wrong, have i got the wrong seal or have bearmach made them 10mm too big!!!
Thanks

IIRC the Gwyn Lewis ones are flat bar too
They look simple and easy to make!
-
It would be better if the metal had a profile - rather than flat plate as it'll still flex to some degree - depending on how thick it is of course. I have a couple of old turrets here, so I'll have a bash/bend/cut/drill
Les.
Thanks mate :-)

Just how far on its side can a RV8 run before it has problems such as oil starvation, oil pooling, fuel problems etc?
Oh and what is its Configuration (60° V8?)
Thanks
