DIZZY

Still can't get it lined up its starting to get me hacked off now, tried turning it over by hand but it's just not lining up or I can't line it up

I think I might try turning it over by hand see if that helps

It's a nightmare the worst thing is the hole is like 4.5mm and deep so can hardly see inside to see when the hole comes round lol

I have no issues with fitting etc it's the grub screw I need to line it up but when the scew gear is inserted it turns to mesh so then.the hole in the brass bush that sits on the outer of the scew gear turns aswell so I'm tryng to find a tip hint or info on how to line it up

Yeah I have had it in and out several times the hole for grub screw is in a brass collar around the scew gear and as you insert it the collar moves aswell as the drive locating on the cam gear I just can't find a way of turning the brass collar to line the hole up its driving.me.mad.

I Have a 1986 2.5 na diesel that i have had a problem with the vacuum pump drive snapping off in the scew gear, i have bought a new vac pump drive and scew gear i have take the pump off and the oil filter housing removed the 4mm grub screw and drawn the scew gear out all went well not i have put the new scew gear back in but cant for the life of me work out how to line the hole up in the scew gear to get me back on the road does anyone have any tips or can anyone help?
