  1. Thanks All, Problem now sorted s/h stud fitted as per advice from Martin. Cheers G
  2. Hi I have a 2004 Discovery with 18" Wheels. I have managed to snap one of the wheel studs (Long Story!)I have managed to remove the stud, however the main dealer informs me i can't buy a stud, i have to buy the whole hub. I have noticed references to stud replacement in other posts in this forum so can any one tell me are they obtainable? Many thanks G
  3. Thanks for the replies, i like the look of the Khumos, but it will be a week or so before i can get them so have decided to put the AT2's on Thanks G
  4. I have a 2004 TD5 ES manual which was bought from new, it is now no longer used as a family car so i intend to off road it a little. As the tyres are needing replaced i want to change them from the original Good Year 255 55 18 Wranglers to something more suited to mud/off road. The only ones i can find however are AT2's. So two questions...are these any good or is there something else i should be looking at? Thanks for your time G
  5. Hi, all, and thanks for the help so far, the info i have recieved from the forum has been great. Now my latest problem with my 04' disco...The ignition key decided to stop turning so i dismantled and removed the steering lock following the instructions on this Forum. It started no problem with a screwdriver and i thought i would have no problem in popping into the main dealer and ordering a new ignition barrell and or complete lock. Now the hard part..they want £219.00 plus VAT for a replacement! Now i do not mind paying for things but i do object to prices like that, i noticed from previous topics you can buy locks for Disco 1 motors for 30-40 ish on ebay, so the question is, can i modify one to fit ( there is an extra set of electrical connections on the original lock, but as it works just now lying behind the fascia, i am thinking i could just leave it there!?) or are their any alternatives to the genuine part? Or any other ideas? Thanks in advance Gordon
  6. Hi, New to all this forum stuff, thanks for all the info so far. I have a problem with the SLS on my 2004 ES TD5 Disco (90,000 miles) and i was wondering if anyone could recommend a good 4 X 4 specailist with testbook etc who could repair it in the Fife, Kinross area?
