Yes I do have that round connector aswell. No instrument pack all been ripped out. 

So just a going to use universal warning lights for diff lock switch etc etc 

and I’m using a set of led reverse lights.

The gearbox is sitting in a custom buggy. The c105 connector is coming from the gearbox and that’s it not plugged into anything. I’m trying to connect a set of reverse lights to it aswel

 as the warning lights for the gearbox.

Right below is the list of colours I have. I have put a meter from the gearbox casing to the body and I’m getting continuity

i Have put a meter on that single black wire and checked each pin and getting nothing   

Green and brown 

Green and yellow 

black and orange 

black and yellow

Black and red 

black and blue

black and green 

Red and yellow

yellow and black 

black

Brilliant so if i earth pin 5, i should get some continuity when i select revers etc. 

 

Should of mentioned this is on rover v8 3.9

yes that is the connector.

so last night had the car runing, used a multi meter and was getting voltage on nothing down there, or i was getting no "beep" on my multi meter when i was seeing if there was any closed loops.  any ideas?

Hi Sierrafery, That might help... Well its the main black plug thats from the gearbox wiring loom then from that plug it goes into the rest of the loom just trying to work out what the colours do. i will get the colours tonight.

Ill have a look tonight and see how many wires it has it has a few , the engine and box are in a off road buggy so the loom is all a bitsa

what does it do on the auto box? is it just the reverse lights and the park switch? 

How does it pick up the oil temp warning light? 

what about the diff lock switch is that on the transfer box?

Hi Chaps im building a hybrid buggy using a rover 3.9 running gear including transfer box, can i run a td5 speedo and transducer in the factory standard landrover transfer box?
