  1. the ABS one is something like that but iirc the TC one is more like a conventional bayonet type lamp for some reason, obviously not large though, sorry i cant be more specific

thank you ... will go buy a few of each i think and replace them all while its out...

  2. Rogers of Bedford let me borrow their generic diagnostic tool from time to time. It's a big blue plastic tablet with touch screen, possibly Autologic. There are other types about too, as well as LR's own system. You'd need to phone around your local garages to find someone with a compatible system - it's not just the hardware but also the software on the device being LR compatible. Any LR franchise and most non-franchised specialists should have a system they could plug in. It takes five minuted to do a diagnostic, so they might be willing to do it for a token gesture rather than full workshop hour charge, like if you offer them a nice bottle of something...

    ok..

Thanks once again... will have a look to see if i can buy something suitable...

  3. Does the ABS actually work?? If yes you might be lucky and it's just the lamps are both blown for some reason. Do all the other lamps work (oil, charge etc)??

If just the ABS/TC symbols I suspect you'll find that the lamps are simply not there and have been removed due to a fault and MOT/Sale time etc. It is possible to get the binnacle out to check without removing the wheel but is very tight.

tbh i dont really know if it works... it did before the new brakes were fitted. you could feel it.. but not sure anymore... is there a diagnostics plug anywhere on these.. ???

are they the so called grain of wheat bulbs ?? , will go buy some if i know...

  4. Hi ..

i also may have problems with the abs.. been searching for answers, but cant find anything.. i have a 1995 softdash, the brake pedal seems ok, i have had all the brakes replaced all round, but dont have any lights on the dash at all..

when braking the relay clicks in and out.. am i just looking at news bulbs or is there deeper problem lurking ?? if its just the bulbs, does anyone know what the correct bulbs are..

    thanks..

sorry if i have hijacked the post.. dont know where else to go..

  5. Hi gents...

my rrc 300tdi softdash seems to have all the wiring for cruise control, but no mechanical or electric controls..

does anyone know what i would need to get to install it all or even if it is possible..

love cruise control on long journeys and when towing... would really like to get it instaled and working..

  6. I have a 95 vogue se 300tdi and it has many problems, i have spent just short of £3k on it now... thats just sorting the mechanical side of things..

    now starting on the bodywork..

i love the car.. so will persivere with it,,

    good luck with yours..

  7. Hi peeps..

as title, range rover vogue 300tdi 1995, Soft dash central locking not working,

so had a little poke around as you do... and got some bad news...

the original alarm was removed from the car, and replaced with a toad alarm, this then got water logged ( acording the a receipt i have, ) and was removed.

the alarm box is still in the car strangley enough, but is chucked in the glove box....

So my problem is, there are some wires chopped orf under the glovebox, and a couple of relays hanging down.. not sure what the wires are or do, there is also a blue straight connector plug hanging down,

what i would like is a wiring diagram for the central locking and alarm... and if poss some info on the imobilising side, as i have bouggt a new secondhand imobilisor and would like to fit that, and would also like to fit one of these http://www.hawkcaralarm.com/UniversalUpgradeRemoteKeylessForCentralLock.aspx to get the locking working again.

Any advice would be greatfully received, thanks in advance....
