And landroversforever....... Oxford lol....no thanks but great offer

Thanks,I'm not local to bloody anywhere lol
-
I don't have a jack or a socket set lol.....if I had I may attempt it but buying the tools would cost more than paying to get it looked at.
Thanks for the advice anyway guys you are all a helpful bunch on here ;-)

Bugger....was hoping for a definitive answer.
Oh well looks like I'll have to pay the mechanics to do that then put it back together so I can pick up the diff then start again lol.
Thanks for the reply.

Hello everyone I have a small question I'm hoping one of you clever people can answer for me.
I have a 1993 land rover discovery 200tdi (K100JER) and it just passed the mot however the rear diff whines and clunks.
After having a look at breakers yards etc I have discovered there are 2 types. Does anyone know which one I should get or was it pot luck what land rover used????
I am no mechanic and it will be going to a fitter so I don't know how to check myself. (yes I know I'm supposed to be a man)
Thanks in advance Shane

I cant sadly...£28 pipe for 300tdi fit perfectly ...all good now
-
Ha ha,im probably not keeping the disco long enough to put stainless pipes on. But well done
-
Lol...I nearly did that and I wish I had as it turns out its only £40 for both ...... Bloody fool am I.
Oh well live n learn.
-
I didn't buy the backbox as mine looks almost new
-
Ok so I go the pipe for the 300tdi....
Its the right diameter and the right length BUT the front and rear of my original fastened on with a 2 bolt butt up joint arrangement...(olive??)......
now this one is ok at the front but the rear is a push on affair....
Oh well bit of modification for me I think
-
Anybody know???
-
Decided to buy the proper job. £28 not worth messing with at that price lol
-
Yeah its £21 + extra for the clamps for a 2.5" straight pipe or £28 for the custom made direct fit 300tdi one.
I just need to know if 300tdi and 200tdi are same boxes.....

Hi guys, here is my problem....
I have a 1993 disco 200tdi and the centre exhaust box just fell off.... I want to de-box it so I looked online.
Plenty of 1994 300 tdi straight through pipes but no 1993 200tdi
My question is.....how different are they?
Will it fit?
Why is 300tdi straight pipe half the price of the 1 and only 200tdi straight pipe?
I'm at a loss and help would be appreciated lots.
Thanks

Wow...no snow here in driffield
-
Thanks...so 2 1/2 inch pipe will slide over my original and clamp on? Sorry but he's a bit anal and wants to know before he even looks at it
-
Hi my question is does anyone know the diameter of pipe I would need to replace the centre exhaust box? It just snapped off right at the box so I figure just a piece of straight pipe would do fine (my mate has loads of off cuts but needs to know diameter)
Has anyone done this before? Can you help?
Thanks in advance :-)
