I replaced all engine harness and sensors. It still dies down.

Sometimes yes. When I try to rev the engine up to 2500 rpm and decelarates the engine would almost cut out up to 300rpm or die but it wouldn't reach 700rpm at idle. The tech reading doesn't find any sensor fault.

Hi! I am currently diagnosing a P38 4.6HSE (coil spring converted) and my problems right now are the ff: 1. When engine started, it will idle for a few moments and would die down. 2. It would only start again if you only take off one of any sensor plugs. 3. When revving engine it would go down first to 200 rpm then go up harshly and when foot is released it would seem to die down. 4. On ROVACOM diagnostics, it couldn't read any fault codes, readings are within parameter and still dies down. Vehicle is in good operating condition prior to this dying problem. I tried replacing all possible sensors but to no avail. Spark plugs are new and cables. Please help. Thanks.

Hi again!! Is there a possible way to reset the fault codes w/o having the diagnostic machine? Would it be like shorting one terminal to another like with other cars? Sorry for all the questions. Its hard w/o those tech stuff around. We just have to work with what we have here. Thanks

Hi to all! I have a Td4 and I just encountered an electrical problem today apparently I havent been using it for a while and today I just found out that 1. TC,ABS,HILL DECENT and HANDBRAKE Warning Lights are ON I tried removing the HILL DECENT relay but still the light was ON The vehicle has normal braking power and no change at all 2.Speedometer doesn't work....but it used too the last time and all indicators are working including tachometer too 3. The aircon compressor not working OK the A/C is quite weird, I had it checked with a shop here coz I thought there was a leak but they couldn't find one and the freon charge was full. They tried directly switching the compressor through the positive line and it worked. I opened the relay (engine compartment box) and tried pressing the contact point and the compressor turned on. It seems the relay had no signal to switch it on. 4. Immobilzer not working I couldnt find any possible things to check. Please help.

Guys, Thanks for all your inputs, I really appreciate it. Ill put all these in mind. Ill be starting the project soon. I recently bought a 1972 RR 2 door classic and will strip the body from the chassis and mount the existing non-working freelander (Bodyshell). Ill be documenting this for everyones sake. Thanks, I already did. I think they made their own space frame and added fiberglass panels but are there others who actually placed a body on a frame? I don want to lose the comforts from the freelander body. Thanks again sir

Tried it but doesnt work. I even took off the hill decent relay (dash instrument indicator ON). Its funny that even the check engine doesnt light ON. Ty

Greetings from the Philippines! I am having problems with my TD4 and its driving me crazy since there are no qualified shops around to check and diagnose. Current condition or observations: 1. ABS warning light is ON 2. Engine running well on IDLE only and revs till 4000 rpm 3. When engaged to 1st gear engine would rev till 2000 rpm only and would run 20 kmh max. 4. When turning to a curve, its seems that there is something stopping the vehicle from moving. NOTE: I have checked all these without air filter on and sometimes took the EGR valve hose out but it made no difference. Engine Oil Pressure is good. Cooling System is good. Primed the fuel system. All filters are new. Please help!!! Thank you very much. Alex Philippines
