Hi there I need a long range tank for my 82 Classic. Safari Equip - www.safari-equip.co.uk - seem to be the only people who make em. Has anyone had any dealings with them or bought one of their tanks ? I am based in South Africa so would have to buy their tank unseen. As such I'd appreciate any extra info I can get. Hi there This topic has already been covered to some extent but doesn't fully answer my question. The rear diff on my 82 Classic is really noisy and I have been offered the following: 1. A re-build of the existing 10 spline diff 2. A complete rear axle of a low mileage Disco 1 - 24 spline diff I have no plans to add a dif locker so is there a real advantage to upgrading to the 24 spline diff ? And can I run a 24 at the rear and keep the 10 in front ? Thanks a mil Simon

Thanks Jon. It can be tricky to find info in South Africa - we don't have the specialists you have in the UK. Forgive my ignorance, but perhaps you can answer the following: 1. Is it fairly easy to set up edis and coil packs with a Weber carb ? 2. Do I go original or is there something aftermarket that's decent ? Can you ercommend a vendor ? 3. What do I do about the oil pump drive from the existing dizzy if I go with edis and coil packs ? 4. I think I have a Lucas 'Opus system 35DE8, is this interchangeable with 35DM8 or 35DLM8 ? I assume the 35DLM8 is the best ? THanks amil Simon

Hi there Has anyone tried upgrading thei distributor to a Mallory Dual point distributor. My 82 V8's distributor is on the blink and RPI rekkon the standard dissy is inefficient & unreliable and highly recommend the Mallory. Seems good but is a tad pricey. Does anyone have exeperience with the "Lumenition" electronic ignition ? Thanks a mil Simon
