  1. Hello one and all.

Can some one help me sort out my nightmare of a wire-a-thon?

Over the last few weeks I've been re-wiring and rebuilding my V8 110 CSW as a 300tdi with a disco engine and box,

I have now rewired the body shell and dash I now just need to mate the 300tdi engine and engine loom to the shell.

My question is this, how do I go about bringing the 300tdi to life?

I'll be locating the ecu in the dash behind a custom panel but what do I need to do to make the engine work with the loom in the V8.

All help will be greatly appreciated :)

    Thanks in advance

  2. Can anyone please help, I've downloaded the Rave manual but my computer is claiming it's corrupt!

Can anyone help as I'm sorting out the wiring on my V8 CSW, most of it was hacked about by the previous owner who's idea of removing bulb holders was to pull as hard as possible to get the stuff out, and there is a lot of damage to loom.

I have salvaged and repaired quite alot of it, however the haynes manual I was working from seems to miss a few items off the diagrams, like the horns etc!

To complicate matters I will be wiring up my disco 300tdi engine and box that I've transplanted aswell.

What I really need is a full wiring diagram for the 110 CSW 1989 plate V8. I can then work from there.

Any help would be greatfully recieved.

    Thanks in advance

  3. Like anything else it comes down to personal choice.

I did run bfg's in 265/75/16 form, but to be honest for the miles I do and the cost of replacements I now use INSA tractions or dakars,. both a bfg copies. I've found the new traction to be a really good tyre.

I'd rather get stuck and have to do a recovery than break something on the driveline, that's why I stayed away from Special Tracks. All in 265/75/16 format.

  4. Hello one and all,

I'm in the middle of converting my 110 CSW V8 to 300tdi power.

The fuel lines are very badly corroded and I'd like to renew them.

Can anyone confirm what diameter copper pipe I need for this applictaion? Is it 5/16? Also what ends do I need to complete this?

    All help is happily recieved!

    Thanks in advance

  5. Hello one and all,

I'm drawing to end of my V8 to 300 tdi engine swaps and I need a little help regarding the fuel tanks.

Can I just stick the diesel into the old tank? It has been cleaned out etc.

Also connecting the lines up to the tilter and pump, I take it the 2 lines out of the tank are flow and return pipes?

Any confirmation of this would be great.

    Thanks in advance

  6. Hello MrFrog, I have to admit I REALLY want to run the freestyles as I have 8 very clean ones with tyres in the garage, but after speaking to my local independant landy place I wouldn't risk it.

I have around 95% of the responses, some quoting all maneer of technical info, telling me that freestyles were never offered on the 110 or 130 due the vechicles rear end weight.

    Sorry

  7. Hello one and all, I just want to know if I can run my 110 on a set of freestyle alloys?

I have a salisbury rear axle with drums, so can I use my 30mm wheel spacers from my disco on the 110 with freestyles.

It's a CSW 110, will they be rated high enough for the weight?

    Thanks in advance
