  1. thanks for the info guys, i have bought a replacement doorlatch 2day from the scrapyard, so my job tomorrow is to try and get the damned door open and replace it!!! hey pb, whats the breeding of your ebt? Do you show at all???? I do!
  2. Hi, Im new to the board, so a big hi to everyone! I have just bought a freelander, 99 xedi. Its great apart from the rear driver side door decided not to open yesterday, after a good couple of hours spent lovingly cleaning her up!!! How ungrateful! The door mechanism does work, when the central locking is opened, it makes a noise and the button pops up, but the door wont open. Help! Also, there are 3 warning lights on the dash. hdc, abs,tc. I have been told these light up due to a faulty brake pedal switch. Is that true???? I hope so! Can anyone advise how to open the door? kind regards, Tony
  3. today, after spending over 3 hours cleaning, polishing and then buffing the leather interior, the damned door decided not to open when I went out to use the landy. I can hear the mechanism inside the door activate when the switch is pushed to unlock all doors, but alas the door wont open. Even the button pops up, perhaps just to taunt me! What the heck do I have to do, apart from take all the door trim off and then...................? Also, the hdc,tc and abs lights have come on the dash. I have been told this is due to a faulty brake pedal switch, common fault in all freelanders of the same year, 99. Is this true? kind regards, Tony newbie on the block!!
