  1. I would love to know or see how these are supposed to work!.Can't fit my sunglasses in there which is what the handbook says its for!.I just use mine fot stashing things like keys and that in and they dont seem to fall out.

  2. went to Billing for 2 days!..Thoughley enjoyed it!..Lots second hand goodies to root about it and lots of shiney stuff to be brought. The lads at devon had lots of time to chat and they wasnt being pushey and trying to sell! However wouldnt waste another second at Nene overland!.Was enquiring about 2 defender i really liked and might of even ended up buying one of them. They were rude, arrogant and good at making assuptions!.Got told that oe truck was out of my price range! CHARMING!

  3. As the above post says "pre tuned" is aload of cods wallop.Unless you buy a nice sirio then they are nearly bang on.

During the tme you havn't used it have you had a twig on or not?.If you havn't water could have got in the mount and corroded the inside.

If your using a body mount i would clean it up and run a wire from the underneath of the mount to a good earthing spot then try.If your using a gutter mount try scraping the paint off where the screws hold it down and if your using a mag mount check the connections inside because theya re notorious from corroding. If still no luck with any of that jazz inspect your ariel cable or renew. If still no luck have a gander on a cb fourum.

  4. sounds pretty good to me!..I would be pleased with that.I run 265 mud terrains and get about 25-30.With a IRB developments chip. Before the chip was getting 24-26.Country driving going no faster than 45,main roads not going over 65....but having said that now i have the stage 2+1,full width intercooler, egr bypass,de-cat etc etc ive given up with fuel consumption.I just enjoy drivng it and put fuel in it when it needs it!

  5. If you look at the interior light there should be a little groove on the side.Push a flatblade screwdriver in the slot and twist. This should relese the plastic cover/lense.Once the cover is offf there should be 2 Torx head screws holding the light onto the headlining, undo these and pull the light away from the headlining. There should be a wire plugged into the light section, unplug this and move it out of the way.Now you need to get a ratchet, extenstion bar and a 8 or 10mm socket(i think).Where the light came out there is like a double skinned roof. there should be a hole giving access to the radio aieral base, inside there you should find the nut that holds the aieral wire and mount to the roof.Use your ratchet to find and undo the nut(be carefull not to loose it.Once un-done you should be able to get you hand in there ti take the cable of the mount.Once thats done pull the mount out of the roof.(there is 2 mounting points,1 metal stud and 1 rubber thing to stop it twisting i think).Put your new one in and put it all back together. Took me about 20mins once i found out how to do it. The Mount cost me £8.94 from LR and the whip cost the same.

Mine is a 3 door but i think it is pretty much the same setup on a 5-door model.

    Hope this helps

  9. Hi,I have one of these for my 110 pickup (not double cab) that fits over the spare wheel and load area and is held on by elastic which you attach to the lashing hooks.I will have a look tommorw and see if there is a makers name on it for you as they might make one

  10. I'm looking for a new 4x4 to replace the one i just wrote off. I'm after a van version due to having dogs, ferrets and a farmers daughter for a girlfriend. It also needs to be comfortable for long journeys ( 300+ miles ) . Thats why i thought of the freelander. It would'nt be for heavy off roading driving over farm land and through thick muddered gateways mostly.

Been looking at 53 -54 2.0 td4's with around 100k miles on them.

Any tips or suggestions? I have been warned about them eating tires and problems with the drive machanics between engine and gearbox.

Thanks for any help or suggestions you can offer

Hi there,I have a 2002 td4 Freelander commercial (van) for sale if you are interested.

Lovely on long journeys.I quite often d0 250-500 mile trips and you dont even know you have been anywhere when you get out!,also my td4 returns an average of 38-40mpg driving at 65-70.The same sort of consumtion as from a diesel car but from a 4x4.Never taken mine off road but i have heard and read that they are suprisingly good.

You will allways hear good things and bad things about any car but personally i havnt a bad word to say about them!.Serviced mine every 6000 miles(below recomendation) and never really had much go wrong just the odd wearing parts.Highly recomended!

Heres a link to mine if you fancy having a look.

  11. Have a small problem with a part identification on a 1998 300tdi cant seem to get the right part number for the temp sender our local landrover dealer has the choice of two , would anyone be able to identify the right one as am on my mac and my pc has sat down :(<_<

Hi,Im pretty sure there are two because one is for the early 300 and the oher for the late 300.

I think Early is from 1994/1995 -1996 and late from 1996-1998.

So asl for he later one and you should be ok.

  12. If you prefer your wheel on the back door try looking for a later TD5 one piece door. They have the newer black wheel carrier on them which i found id alot stronger. The one piece doors dont bend or rattle around,I picked mine up from a breaker complete ready to bolt on for £50.Its as solid as a rock.
