sidelight shorting was common in the late nineties as the central locking/alarm was often on same circuit, after a couple of years manufacturers changed it. my laguna was 1999
That probably means LR are considering it. Perhaps it will be a feature of the DC100.

I ordered some parts which were sent DHL now named Yodel,
Not quite. Just to confuse the customer, DHL still exists.
In 2010 it sold its UK home delivery service to the Home Delivery Network, who then re-branded themselves as Yodel.
You can still send items via DHL Express (a sameday courier service) or by one of the other DHL carrier businesses.

Small straps to secure them to the carrier with the bike nearest the spare wheel having additional security of a locking cable through the holes in the spare wheel. Then cycle lock each bike to each other. A bit of a pain when taking them off with all the locks but nobody will bother with all that hassle to steal them.

I'm enjoying tonights episode - driving in Nepal.
Was it my imagination, but when they got stuck in that mud at the roadside, only the front wheels seem to be driven?

I thought it was a worthy watch.
Having driven only once in snow where visibility was zero (yes I stopped), then I don't think their panic was untoward. And I didn't have 6 feet deep ditches at the roadside with 40 ton lorries approaching in the opposite direction when you can't tell where the centre of the road is. Don't forget, they're making a TV programme and it would have been boring if everything was plain sailing.
As for him being a cockereal, I only wish that I could have travelled half of what he has achieved in the past 10 years and be around to tell the story.

Does anyone know the legalities around putting children in the centre seat of a 90?
Hi have 2 girls (5 & 3) and am looking at options - ideally I would convert the rear inward seats to forward facing, but cash is a bit tight at the moment, so I am looking at other options for short journeys.
I have not tried it yet but I am fairly sure the booster seat and car seat will both fit - although the centre seat will only have a lap strap belt.
Which leads to my next question is is possible to fit a 3 point seat belt for the centre seat?
Thanks
Taking your questions in reverse.
Yes, it's posssible to replace the lap belt with a 3 point belt on the centre seat. I got mine from Craddocks.
Children can use the centre seat, providing you also use an appropriate child seat or booster seat. However most child seats require a 3 point belt for adequate securing. I personally wouldn't rely on just a lap belt + child seat for a child unless the seat has its own harness system and is designed to be used with a lap belt.

A4 is the material class, you also need to add the property class.
A4-80
Apologies. In my desire to answer the question, my brain worked quicker than my fingers.

I wave to any LR as long as it is not a new clean one, I do get waved back at even though I drive a Land Cruiser!!!

Er? There's a difference between a Landy Wave and a 4-knuckle shuffle

And MUST be high tensile of 8.8 rating or higher, nothing else will be safe.
Or A4 if going down the stainless route.
I got some of my bolts from Screwfix, and the rest from Boltit.co.uk.

So, Nice nursey took over, .... asked which arm I wanted the jab in as it would make the arm feel hard
Nige
Surprised you went for the arm

I had the same belt fitted, just piggy backed from the standard floor mounts using a longer bolt. Hate to say this, but we found the belt to be next to useless and went back to the standard lap belt.

I have a 110 CSW (TD5) and want to replace the current lap belt with a 3 point inertia reel belt. I have bought the 3 point belt (exmoor trim)and wondered if anyone else has done this conversion? I have tried a search without any luck. My question relates to where you mount the belt reel, assuming the other two fixing points use the existing mounts? The fiting instruction only show you how to mount the three fixings but not where.

Whilst superficially one might confuse it for a Mantec I doubt it is one as I have seen a number of criticisms about Mantec carriers lacking grease nipples. Yours has them.

p.s. not a dig at Mantec,as I have one

I've tried a search without success, and also realise that if it dosen't leak it's not a Land Rover, but of the many causes of leaks can anyone tell me which one causes water to drip onto my right foot during heavy rain. I've tried to looking for a source of water ingress, but it is difficult as it only seems to happen when I'm driving so I can't spend too long staring into the driver's footwell. Once I have identified the source, is it fixable?

I have 3mm cheq plate riveted on mine. Been there for 2 years with no problems. I did fit it with a neoprene strip between the plate and the rack to stop any vibrations.
Does you plate cover the whole of the roof rack deck,or did you leave gaps between each sheet?

Hi I need a cycle carrier which can carry up to 3 bikes which fits on my defender with a spare wheel on the back door .can anyone give me some suggestions which to buy
I use one of these Click here. The bikes are held securely, and are easy to put on and off. The fold down feature doesn't work very well though as it's designed for an estate type lifting door, not a side opener.

I expect I'm missing something, but I understood POR stood for 'Paint Over Rust'.
What circumstances or properties suggest it's a good idea to use POR to 'Paint Over Paint'?
Thanks.
The trouble is that rust doesn't obligingly end in nice clean lines and certainly I always want to feather the edges to ensure nothing is missed. It won't help therefore if,over time POR 15 just flakes away from paint or clean metal.
Tazz
BTW didn't realise POR was an acronym for Paint Over Rust.

I have used Electrox from Bilt Hamber and have just finished using it as a primer before using POR15 on my A-frame and brackets, trailing arms and exhaust brackets.
Hmm! POR15 over the top of Electrox, hadn't thought of that. Although would still have the problem of POR15 going hard in the tin if you only use a smal part of it.

I've done a search but couldn't find any reference, so wondered if anyone has experience of using the attached rust proofing products Click hereClick here.
I have experience of products like Kurust/Jenolite etc but they have not been totally succesful.I've also used POR 15, which I found to be good, but as it goes hard in the tin after using a small amount I've got fed up of buying new tins only for most of it to be wasted. It gets very very expensive that way.
I want to tidy up the front bumper and outside of the rear cross member - not serious rust but small bubbles follwing chips and scrapes. So I'm looking for a rust convertor/inhibitor which I will then top coat with red oxide and a satin black paint. I'd like to keep clear of hammerite, which I've used underneath cars but I don't think suits bumpers.
Any thoughts?

But they probably still have to pay out for third party damage and injuries to people othan the insured.
With so few companies beung willing to insure modified vehicles it's obviously not a very lucrative market.
