Small straps to secure them to the carrier with the bike nearest the spare wheel having additional security of a locking cable through the holes in the spare wheel. I thought it was a worthy watch. Having driven only once in snow where visibility was zero (yes I stopped), then I don't think their panic was untoward. And I didn't have 6 feet deep ditches at the roadside with 40 ton lorries approaching in the opposite direction when you can't tell where the centre of the road is. Taking your questions in reverse. Yes, it's posssible to replace the lap belt with a 3 point belt on the centre seat. I got mine from Craddocks. Children can use the centre seat, providing you also use an appropriate child seat or booster seat. However most child seats require a 3 point belt for adequate securing. I personally wouldn't rely on just a lap belt + child seat for a child unless the seat has its own harness system and is designed to be used with a lap belt. Tazz

I have a 110 CSW (TD5) and want to replace the current lap belt with a 3 point inertia reel belt. I have bought the 3 point belt (exmoor trim)and wondered if anyone else has done this conversion? I have tried a search without any luck. My question relates to where you mount the belt reel, assuming the other two fixing points use the existing mounts? The fiting instruction only show you how to mount the three fixings but not where. tazz

I've tried a search without success, and also realise that if it dosen't leak it's not a Land Rover, but of the many causes of leaks can anyone tell me which one causes water to drip onto my right foot during heavy rain. I've tried to looking for a source of water ingress, but it is difficult as it only seems to happen when I'm driving so I can't spend too long staring into the driver's footwell. The trouble is that rust doesn't obligingly end in nice clean lines and certainly I always want to feather the edges to ensure nothing is missed. It won't help therefore if,over time POR 15 just flakes away from paint or clean metal. Tazz BTW didn't realise POR was an acronym for Paint Over Rust.

Hmm! POR15 over the top of Electrox, hadn't thought of that. Although would still have the problem of POR15 going hard in the tin if you only use a smal part of it. Tazz

I've done a search but couldn't find any reference, so wondered if anyone has experience of using the attached rust proofing products Click hereClick here. I have experience of products like Kurust/Jenolite etc but they have not been totally succesful.I've also used POR 15, which I found to be good, but as it goes hard in the tin after using a small amount I've got fed up of buying new tins only for most of it to be wasted. It gets very very expensive that way. I want to tidy up the front bumper and outside of the rear cross member - not serious rust but small bubbles follwing chips and scrapes. So I'm looking for a rust convertor/inhibitor which I will then top coat with red oxide and a satin black paint. I'd like to keep clear of hammerite, which I've used underneath cars but I don't think suits bumpers. Any thoughts? Tazz
