[200tdi Chripping noise]

@nidge was the problem the alternator belt?  I have a 200tdi and I am experiencing a similar issue.

I was told long ago to never keep the receipts because it would make my head explode if I ever added them all up.  I don't want to know how much it cost for my 88IIa 200tdi with a R380 and LT230.   Anyway,  you've got a nice build going.  See it through to the end.

I have been told that it is possible to make this conversion but i don't have any experience with it.  I put a R380/LT230 in my 65 IIa but the original plan was to keep the orginal series transfer case.

I'm in the midst of a project rebuild.  I've got a 200tdi in a Series 88 that I put an R380 in with an LT230 (1.2 Ratio). I've got 4.11 Differentials in the series axles.  I'd like to use the Series speedometer if at all possible.   Recommendations are welcome on what speedo gear I would need.
