Valvoline lubricant advisor: MaxLife 10W-40 VR1 Racing Oil 5W-50 I've changed from Maxlife to VR1 (it is 5W50, not 5W40 as said before). The difference - more than 0.5 l /1000Kms is too much more than I expected. I'll go back to 10W40 and watch head gasket meanwhile Thanks

Hi all I'm new to this forum and to Range Rovers world. I recently owned a 2000 2.5 DSE with only 75000 Kms on the clock and full service log. After 3000kms, all running in good condition, changed the oil to 5W40 synthetic and in 2000Kms the level dropped by half betwen min. and max. level. Have I bought a lemon , or are there other issues?
