  3. thanks,I will give a try but... I am a desperate... I must do this job alone...anyway!
  4. also,I whant to change my switch of heater sistem because it is rusty.I whant to put something from another car.As I see the switch from Defender is something mecanical.Did someone changed the switch with something much better? Thanks

  7. Also in Russia all DeF owners fit their cars with Webasto.
  8. Also a problem is soooooooo big- doors backlash warm air just goes out from DEFENDER thru this holes.I am thinking about to tape some rubber to make inside more isolated.
  9. theat is what I am talking about..13A theat are not always... as for MIG , I bought it from Germany (also all parts for my Defender I bought from Germany -2000km from home) also I can get all I need from home(wire,gasCO2,mask..)
  10. Güde MIG 155/4 300€ (U0=21-32V, 15-110A, 90A~20%, 60A~60%, 25Kg)
  11. sad but .. it is not so pleasant to grind all theat work, and I am afraid theat it will be the same on my second attempt...because of amps. I tried all: I have turned to max power (amps) on MIG,made the wire fiting speed low,gas fiting also low...all I could get is this work. my mask is an 10,but not a auto-darkenig. I have cleaned all ... There are places were I could get a beter weld just when it was 23:00 o'clook (when in all houses the lights were turned off) I am a little desperated..
  12. What solution did you have for cold weather, when your fingers are freezing on driving?
  13. upside down---this for me is a very big problem!
  14. I cleaned the edges of the plates as I whanted to weld just the edges- do I have to clean the entire plate ? I used 3mm thick metal is it enought? Does someone has some photo of an better job(on chasiss)? Just to see how It should look...
  15. Problem is theat even at max power (at MIG) it can not melt the added metal plate and chassis metal..
  16. I have the problem with my pwer suply 220V.my Mig at maximum power can not weld so good..so I tryed to do the job with a normal welding machine and it is better ,but the work is not so "clean" but I am worried not to deform the chasiss to much because it is to hot.
  17. I know about welding...thanks!(I am just at first steps with MIG welder) So,it will hold?
  18. My Defender has sufered an acident ,now I want to weld it in this way..(see photo) Now I am wondering if it will hold..?
  19. Yes I know, but my Def have sufered an accident and has lost the breather pipes from front axle.( I bought a used car not a new one)
