  1. nah hasnt moved for a while so fuel was a bit cheaper then!!!!
  2. yeah 1/2 tank, pleased though, could have been embarasing
  3. well just got in, after a lot of pulling and chewing about, got the clutch in, and all squared away on my 300 tdi BUT, fired her up and off she went lovely, for a short while, then she lost power, and started to die, then cut out, so i thought she might be air locked, so bled her with no succes, nothing, so took the fuel filter off and it is empty, tried firing it over without the filter on and not a drop, or from any of the other couplings either. there are no pipes traped, or wires, and everything is connected that i can see............................. supposed to be taking her to a wedding in the morning, not looking good up to now
  4. i think they look good mounted on the front roof rail (if you have them)
  5. hello again, i posted on here a couple of weeks ago about the clutch failing on my 300 disco, I was advised it may heve been the fork, but to try the master/slave cylinder first just in case, well done both of these , but ran into a small problem, when i took the slave out the rod came out too with the plastic clip, (see pics) can anyone tell me an easy way to get the little blighter back in?? also by one of the pics, the fork looks ok to me, what do you think?? thanks again for your help
  6. ok went out last night, clamped the flexi pipe, presed the clutch down and lifted it up a few times with no change, still no resistance whatsoever, so is it safe to assume its the master????(fingers crossed!!)
  7. there is still loads of fluid in, but the pedal just goes straight to the floor, even after i tried bleeding the slave it maid no difference, there is no resistance at all
  8. how will i tell the difference, and if it is that, is it a big job / whats involved with that??
  9. the story so far..... I have a 300 tdi discovery, she was sat up for approx 6 weeks whilst I done some work on her, got her through her mot, then took her on a round trip of 180 ish miles yesturday, not a problem at all she ran like the old disco i know and love!, but... jumped in her this morning put clutch in, and it felt a little strange like vibrations?? but she selected gears and off we went, went approx 50 yards and the pedal went to the floor and stayed there, no selection whatsoever, so turned her off selected first and set off in gear to get home, the pedal would come back if pulled up but stayed down once there, left the car for a couple of hours then went to have a look, and found that the pedal is now returning but will only go half way down, but still no gear selection. I was thinking either master or slave cylinder fault, but not sure what do you think??
