  1. Hi There, I am from New Zealand and I bought and paid for a Bulkhead from Ashtree Landrover International in the UK. 8 months later and I have nothing. I am looking to contact others in a similar boat to see if we can do anything about them. I have found one other person so far (from Southern Ireland) in a similar situation, Paul
  2. Many Thanks to all that replied, especially David Sparks for the link to the owners manual. What all you say makes a lot of sense and in all probability It is an series l model 88. I will do the best I can to bring it back to life. All the best, Paul
  3. Hi All, I have just acquired an "alleged" 1958 land rover that has no identifying marks. I am just starting to restore it. It appears to be around 1958 vintage but has no land rover chassis number or vin number. The vin number I think is a New Zealand applied one. I have an engine number - RM0232968. Can this be used to identify anything about the vehicle ? Also I see that it has a manual clutch, not a hydraulic one, and has series l type door and bonnet fastenings but a series ll front grill and lights that are not on the wings but in front of the radiator. There is only one side light on each of the front wings and similar on the back valence. It is a SWB. Since I am not sure what to mention let me know if there are other indicators to consider, eg there is only one fuse. Paul
