Hi All,,, I have not been on the forum for while so have only just read most of the replies.As I said at the start of this thread I am a paraplegic but still do most of my own mechanical work incluiding engine removal with a bit of help from my mates.But since starting this thread I have been in hospital for a couple of days had a hernier operation 3 weeks ago which has knocked the stuffing out of me. So change of plans after reading all your replies "and I thank you all so much for the advice" I now am going to leave the 3.9 Isuzu and manual box and go with Bill Georgas electro-magnetic clutch conversion with the lever on the gearstick. Ok all advice with this is much appeciated. CHEERS ALL Noel
  3. Hi All,,, Thanks for all the info it has helped me a lot has given me the confidence to tackle the job . For those interested many years ago I fitted a 186 Holden engine in a 2A what a waste of time not much of an increase of power I also fitted a 4.1 alloy head crossflow falcon engine to my series 111 what an unbelievable power gain .I never had any trouble with the extra power as I always started off with a light foot.   5. I have a 89 Australian Military defender (perentie) and a 99 V8 discovery with good V8 and Auto. is it a very hard to fit this to my defender. All help and info for this swap is much appreciated Cheers Noel
