Shell11
Land Rover discover 1 300tdi So to start my discover 1 was excessive smoking and misfiring. Looking through forums it pointed to stem seals and new head gasket. So I too the cylinder head off and got it Skimmed. 5 of the stem seals wasn’t connected so Replaced the valves and fitted new stem seals. I Refitted with 1.5mm head gasket. Build back up, ran it, perfect start, the within a couple of minutes there was Milky oil. I then dropped oil and added fresh. Restarted and then a squeak starts which appears to be coming from the rocker shaft. There was Water in the sump since taking head off. I have Reset the rockers Dropped the oil and filter, twice. But still the squeak is there. Any pointers please. Also not the fan belt, as this has been run without and still the same.
