wheels turning

Hi

I hope i am just being stupid realy,

I have the backend of my 90 on axel stands in 1st gear, low box, diff lock engaded, and my rear wheels are still turning but my propshaft is not.

is this right??

If they're turning in opposite directions then yes, that's correct (with the pinion locked due to gearbox in 1st gear and handbrake on) the two wheels rotate about the crownwheel with the sun gears (the ones that are connected to the halfshafts) and the planet gears (the ones not connected to the shafts)

LOL!!

I've had it happen before when i've been parked on a steep muddy slope (in my old lightweight), handbrake on, vehicle started rolling/slipping forward, i looked out of me window and the back wheel was rotating backwards! eek!!!

(it was on salisbury plain, where the wet chalk gets very slippery)
